Rating: Summary: Great Learning Module Review: If you have never GM'd hackmaster or have all new players...I would suggest starting with this module. It is well written and is designed for the begining group. The module is "turn-key", ready to run as is. This is a well done re-write of the original dungeon with a new storyline. Run this firt and then take your Players into the follow on module "Little Keep on the Borderlands", which also has a good base camp.

Rating: Summary: New School Hack With Old School Style Review: The original module was designed both for beginning GMs and Players alike, giving each a "feel" for the game and allowing the GM to "stock" the dungeon with critters/treasure of their own choosing. This module comes completely stocked and ready to "HACK" with new Hackmaster beasts and rules. The maps however, remain virtually unchanged. In the spirit of the module's storied history, it even retains the original names of the dungeon, Quasqueton and its owners, Rogahn & Zelligar. The main difference between the original and this version is the addition of the storyline between Rogahn and his "love", Fair Melanee. The story is amusing and makes a great tie-in with the second module B2 "Little Keep on the Borderlands". It also provides a brief indoctrination to the new Hackmaster campaign setting of Garweeze Wurld. Finally, this module provides a solid introduction to the Hackmaster rules system. The addition of the new monsters and the handy "battlesheets" (an easy way for the GM to keep track of monsters and their hitpoints) make this a keeper for me. "What do you want to Hack today?"
