Rating: Summary: A good side story to the Dominion War Review: I liked how John Vornholt brought back Sam Lavelle, Taurik, and most especially Ro Laren, being a fan of her. The story moved very smoothly, and like the new character, Enrak Grof, an unjoined Trill. If you're tired the same old Dominion war battles, then you should read this book and enjoy!

Rating: Summary: Good beginning, but it gets tedious and boring at the end Review: I love Deep Space Nine, and I also love the Dominion War, so I really anticipated the new series. After reading the first book, I was let down. It starts out great, with a lot of action. The only problem I had was that Jem'Hadar battlecruisers kept popping up everywhere, but you usually never see those, you only see attack ships. Plus, why does the Enterprise always lower her shields before firing? They never had to do that before. Once Picard starts on his way, it's still good, but near the end, it left me hoping that L.A. Graf would somehow get to write Tunnel Through the Stars, not John Vornholt.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Author, Very Good Book Review: I loved this book, parts 2 and 4 allthough written by the other author should have had more originality, but books 1 and 3 were excellent! I love the new plot lines and how it was most TV like. Somewhat hard to read bouncing from point to point but well worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Decent but not exactly what I wanted Review: I read this book mainly to see the Enterprise crew get involved in the grand Dominion War plot line from Deep Space 9 (My favorite Trek show). I was hoping for large scale starship combat and front line hand-to-hand duels, and phaser battles with Jem Hadar. I got very little of that. True there were some nice action scenes of what I wanted, but they were very brief and did not come that often. I wanted to see the Enterprise in combat, which it is in the beginning but it spend the latter half of the book at a starbase getting repairs. Also there is some action with Data, but come the latter half of the book he to is left to sit on the side lines The scenes the author chooses to concentrate on are interesting at times, but they also tend to drag. The espionage mission with Ro, Picard, and Geordi could have been speeded up a bit. The scenes focusing on the minor characters are probably the weakest and unfourtunately they are the majority of the book. The author really doesn't make us care enough about the crew of prisoners assinged to the anti-matter tanker. I think they were not strong enough characters to be focused on that much. So there is enough action in Behind Enemy Lines to keep me interested in the rest of the books in The Dominion War series. but I hope they are better than the first book in the series.
Rating: Summary: Second only to Book 3 Review: I strongly agree that DW Books 1 and 3 are much better than the other two. I prefer TNG above DS9 any day, and John Vornholt did an excellent job on these orinigal novels. The plot is set in Book 1, and is continued through to Book 3. And what a plot it is! Instead of the many battles in Book 2 (don't get me wrong-- I still love battles!), Books 1 and 3 actually have a good storyline! In Book 2, Sisko got from the Defiant to a Jem'Hadar ship and into a dark matter nebula. In Book 1 and 3, they got from the Enterprise to the Orb of Peace, persuaded Jem'Hadar not to attack them, invaded a Cardassian outpost, slipped into the Badlands, where confronted by pirates-- need I say more? What Books 1 and 3 lack in battles, they make up for in a good story. If you haven't read this book, you may not have understood the last paragraph. But believe me, John Vornholt authors an excellent start to a new series.
Rating: Summary: Thought it was a great book!!!!!!!!!! Review: I thought that number one would be a slow un eventful book, but it turned out to be a great action book, and it has gotten me interested in finishing the series, and I will not agree to anyone who thinks this is a bad book in any way.
Rating: Summary: It was a real page turner. Review: I thought the book was pretty good. I thought they needed a more detailed description when Enterprise was in a combat situation. The reason I think that the Enterprise would lower it's shields was because the Enterprise wanted the Jem-Hader to think that the Enterprise was helpless and the Jem-Hader would try to board them and the Jem Hader shields would be down which made the Jem Hader more vunerable to attack. I think that Riker's love life should have been discovered by Troi because she is a Betazoid and they could read minds. I also think that the Orb Of Peace should have had some phasers also to equal out the score. I think that Sam and Picard should have met sooner and the Orb of Peace could have had more tools and crew members to work with.
Rating: Summary: I love this book! Review: I've read a few Star trek books, and of them all this one is the best I've read to date! Dominion war fixes what I never cared for in the series on T.V. I always thought that everything was to perfect on the show, but this book is more life like, things don't always go how you want them to!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: If you like StarTrek and the Enterprise E, you will love this book!
