Summary: Almost worth 4 stars....almost
Review: I don't know what horrible-writing demon possess Jean Rabe but she needs to exorcise it. I almost quit reading this book after 30 pages because the scatter-brain writting style Jean's imfamous for poisoned the story. I kept reading however & her writing eventually straighted out.

The plot was great & the characters were alright. The Dhamon character doesn't appeal to me like most of the DL characters do but he's interesting enough to be readable. Some day I intend to read the next 2 books in the series but now I`m off to start on The War Of Souls trilogy & then I`m taking a long break from DL to start on the Star Wars series that I've been neglecting for the last 3 yrs.

Summary: Incredible...
Review: I dont care what others say, this book is a must read for dragonlance fans. The Dhamon Saga looks to be a great follow-up series to the Dragons of a New Age trilogy. In the book, Dhamon Grimwulf, a former hero, has fallen (hence the title), from good, to a no good bandit. I have to admit, the change startled me and I couldn't get used to it at first but it is written wonderfully. It will definantly leave you wanting the next book, believe me. If you like action, suspense, and a few surprises, get this book!

Summary: Go Jean Rabe!!!!!
Review: I finished Downfall just a few days ago and let me tell you it was amazing! How many people can completely change a character and still make him very fun to read about? I can tell you that I know of. Jean Rabe.

Summary: Please do yourself a favor and buy this!
Review: I have not read that many Dragonlance books, but I have read several of them and Forgotten Realms. And let me tell you, how many authors can COMPLETELY change a character and still make him intersting? I can tell you. Jean Rabe.

Summary: Engrossing characters, fast-moving action
Review: I like almost all the DragonLance books I read -- and I read a lot of them. I'm a diehard Weis and Hickman fan, and now I'm a Rabe fan, too. I love the Dhamon character she created in her previous books and which she nurtures in this book. He's changed, and now he's gritier and selfish. THe characters have lots of depth, and there's a good mix of angst. I'm looking forward to reading the others.

Summary: A Good Start
Review: I must say that Jean Rabe may not be WM and TH but she is turning out to be a very good Dragonlance author. This novel was a good adventure for Dhamon and Rig, it reminded me very much of a Dragonlance game quest (both a good and a bad thing). With this new novel, Rabe's action scenes have also improved far above what she showed in the Dragons of a New Age Trilogy (i.e. she didn't have Rig throw a knife into someone's throat every single fight). I think this book did a very good job setting up new characters as well as reminding us who the older characters are and advancing them. If you like the Fifth Age (both the novels and the game setting) then you will find this novel very entertaining and if you don't then it should still be a good read.

Summary: Edgy and fast-paced for a DL book
Review: I sometimes find the Dragonlance books a little slow for whatever reason. But I picked this one up at the gencon game fair on the first day and by the end of the conventionn I had it finished. A very good read. Deep characters. And I like the surprise ending. I won't give it away here for you.

Summary: One of the best books since her first trilogy!
Review: I think this book is one of the best books i've read out of all the series I've been reading. I just don't like how Fiona and Maldred are getting all kissy kissy all of the sudden, what about her so called lover Rig, he's getting [messed over].I also think that Dhamon and Feril should get back together they made a good couple. But I really think tis is one of the best books i have besides the to parts i didn't like. On thing i think is that the editors have to many bad opinions and i think they know where to [put] them. Well all her books are good and you should read them all. As for the editors no hard feelings about the review.

Summary: Jean Rabe at her best!!!!!!!!
Review: I was amazed at Downfall! How many people can completely change a character that she has written about very often and still make him intersting. I can tell you one. Jean Rabe.
