Rating: Summary: Space..the boring frontier if you read this book!! Review: One has to be warped to read this boring wordy hardcover. I'm glad I only paid $3 bucks for it (2.99 too much in my opinion). The only good parts were the moments with Odo and Quark. Other than that it was a waste!!
Rating: Summary: Another Star Trek Horror book--Great for Halloween reading Review: This book definitely ranks with others in what I like to call the "Star Trek Horror" subgenre. Other books in this unusual subgenre include Bloodthirst, "Dark Mirror" by Diane Duane, and "Q Squared" by Peter David. I especially liked the scenes of interaction between Sisko and Kai Opaka's "ghost," or whatever she was--a great foreshadowing of the DS9 finale story ABC is showing right now! Kudos to Jeter and others for showing us that Star Trek doesn't have to be atheistic to be true to Gene Roddenberry's vision!
Rating: Summary: Twisted? Review: This book is exactly what the cover says... warped. It takes a slightly twisted mind to think up something like this. But if you like scary books, then this is for you. Once I got used to the idea, it wasn't that bad.

Rating: Summary: Can be summed up in one word: Boring. Review: This book simply couldn't hold my interest. I just kept putting it down when I tried to read it. The plot was just utterly uninteresting. I don't mind overly wordy books, but I don't like boring ones, and this novel was boring. I would definitely not recommend reading it.
Rating: Summary: Adds depth to the TV show Review: This is a very good book, totally consistent with the television programme it is based upon. Except it goes further ,giving a lot more depth to the characters. Content wise, its very similar to Jeter's Blade runner sequels - concentrating on a techno-theocratic theme. As for why most everyone else reviewing this book hates it so much beats me. Maybe like C J Cherry's Superman novel, good writers need to be very careful as to the tie-in they choose to go with, as audience taste seems to be very limited to such things as a warp-core breach every ten seconds. Anyway, I liked it a lot, and its companion - Bloodletter, which comes in for the same stick.
Rating: Summary: good read, character development Review: This was an OK book and an easy read. The character development is very consistent with season one, making it a lot more believable. As always, "Trek" seeks to go beyond mere entertainment and teach a very valuable lesson about life, in this case through the madman, namely, that reality is what it is and can't be shaped to what we would wish it to be quite so easily. The only criticism ... actually I wouldn't even use that word ... the only slight inconsistency I could see would be in having a "pleasure city" located on Bajor. The Bajorans have always struck me throughout the series as a people of deep religious values, and I doubt they would let their planet be turned into a "mini-Raisa." But that is picky ... sorry others didn't like it.
Rating: Summary: Captains Log: One BORING Trek novel !!!!!! Review: zzzzzzz..thats all you will do if you read this tedious, wordy novel. Boring boring boring !!!!!! No wonder its thrown in discount bins around the galaxy. Live long and prosper but dont read this book!!
