Rating: Summary: Twice...and never enough Review: I've read this book twice, and I always find it a fascinating read. If you're new to Trek books, pick this one up first. If you, like me, collect them, this one's definetly for the collection.
Rating: Summary: The only Star Trek material that still impresses me! Review: Although I haven't been a really big fan of Star Trek since junior high, (yeah, Voyager ruined it for me) I was incredibly impressed with *FEDERATION*. The intertwining of the three plots, the breathtaking merge at the end, and the Villian That Refused To Die!!But for God's sake, why are HALF the reviews on this page about a TOTALLY DIFFERENT BOOK?!?!
Rating: Summary: Pure Trekkie book Review: Let's make this simple, Zephram Cochrane and the Companion, Klingons, Romalans, Ferengi, Orion Pirates, Andorians and both crews of the Enterprise. What more could a trekkie want.
Rating: Summary: The Best Star Trek Ever, including the shows and movies Review: Let's see, on a scale of one to ten, I give it a ten, for lack of a 58. This was the best Trek novel I've ever read. i love the way it describes Earth in the 21st Century. I also love the ending, which shows that even in the far future, there is still the Enterprise. Way better than FIRST CONTACT in telling the story of Zefram Cochrane.
Rating: Summary: Great storyline that will involve the reader Review: If Star Trek: Generations wasn't enough to satisfy you thirst for an intermingling of the two historic crews, Star Trek: Federation should do the trick. The book also describes the formation of the Federation along with an explanation of Warp Theory- well as much as one can describe it in layman's terms. The plot was intriguing but I think the authors could have tweaked it a little to make it more believable- they were just trying too hard to get both Enterprise crews involved equally. However, I think most Star Trek and sci-fi fans will enjoy the book.
Rating: Summary: If I had to recommend only one Trek book...this is it. Review: "Federation" remains my favorite Trek novel. It is a much better characterization of Zefram Cochrane than "First Contact" was, and a much better way of bringing together the generations than "Generations." It is also a much better *story* than both. More than either movie, this book gives me hope for the future of Trek storytelling.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL BOOK!!! Review: This book is great! I loved the part where the two Enterprises depended on each other to get out of the black hole. Definitely the best Star Trek book ever! I would recommend this book to anyone!
Rating: Summary: Simply the best Trek novel written so far. Review: The "real" story of Cochran, not the movie version.
Rating: Summary: The Worst Book I Ever Read!!! Review: This is by far the worst Star Trek novel I ever read. The shifting from one generation to the next was rough and made the story very boring. The two crews never worked with each other to the point that you, as a reader, feel good. The movie Generations was by far a better effort to bring the different crews together. This was a big disappointment.
Rating: Summary: The tale of two Captains... Review: This book was great. The two captains of their seperate "Enterprises" are finally brought together for a brief moment at the end of an exciting story that leads up to the event. This book was so good that I actually had dreams that I was reading the book.
