Summary: must read for all deep space nine fans
Review: this book was great. when quark activates a cardassian device, he and odo are trapped in a bubble. 4 days later they find themselves on a deep space nine with all the inhabitants dead. the mystery on what happened and the other characters battle to the death in this book is exceptional. i have read a lot of star trek books in my life and this has to be rated number 1.

Summary: Best I've read
Review: This is absolutely THE best Star Trek book I have read to date.... bar none.

Summary: Deep Space Battle
Review: This is how all the DS9 books should read. There is more action and suspense....enough for five books! I could not put this one down. I don't know why the powers that be at Pocket Books don't use this author's talent more often. A group of Borg like aliens board the station for an artifact Quark purchased. I know the book series won't finish major characters. However, it goes on my list as the best of the early book series.

Summary: My favorite book!
Review: This is my favorite book! I instantly fell in love with it upon first reading it. I enjoyed reading about the tactics against the enemy and if there's anything that this book tought me it's that the good guys don't always win but still never give up hope.

Summary: Great Action Story
Review: This is not a deep book, a profound work that uses SciFi settings to explore the human condition, or somesuch. Instead it is a straightforward war story about an unprovoked attack on DS9 by an unknown, cunning, and heavily armed enemy. As such it is one of the finest examples of action writing I know of. DS9 fans and enthusiasts of military fiction alike will enjoy it thoroughly - it can be read independently of any serious knowledge of the TV show, though that of course will help.

Summary: Surprisingly good
Review: This is one of the best books I've ever read in the Star Trek line. Not only do all the main characters die, which has never happened before, but how the characters died are all symbolic in how they lived their life. The Odo/Quark deal is extremely well written, and I'm glad the author isn't afraid of killing kids, which in some books/movies, the bad guy never gets them. Although I do wish that there was some space battles, which in my opinion is a major plus. Also, at the end, why did the Bekkir just suddenly give up? Throughout the whole novel they seemed hell-bent on getting what they thought was a Bekkir prisoner. It didn't seem right. Also, the title seemed a little off for this novel.

Summary: One of the best
Review: This is one of the best DS9 books I have ever read. It draws you right into the story and you don't want the book to ever end! The battle is horrific - and rather gruesome. In fact, the entire book is rather dark and gruesome, because nearly everyone dies! However, the story idea is really different and really carried out well. The plotline with Odo and Quark in the future is creepy and suspenseful, but the dialogue is funny - all I can say is, poor Odo! The only things I didn't like were the rather gory battle and death descriptions, otherwise, fabulous!
