Summary: Incredible book, Incredible Series
Review: I loved this book, I read it in under 24 hours! The tie-ins to the Trek Series and the movies was great. The "history lesson" about the Trek Universe and the Mirror Universe was the best part. From the hints Mr. Shatner gave I can bet what the Dark Victory is: The two Universes were the same until the Borg and the Enterprise went back in time-Picard et al. won but destroyed the Enterprise. So the crew joins with Cocrane to build Star Fleet early so they can beat the Borg before they are a threat-then the Empire is formed. I can't wait to read how Mr. Shatner does it!

Summary: Incredible!
Review: This book was over 350 pages of twisting, turning plotlines, with plenty of random crazies from a mirror universe stealing and threatening and generally creating a ruckus. The ending leaves me squirming for a sequal. Highly recomended!

Summary: An absolutely brilliant novel
Review: How any Star Trek fan fail to love this novel is beyond me. It has everything; action romance, space battles, intrigue and continuity which quite a lot of books and the Star Trek franchise itself tends to ignore. e.g the Zefram Cochrane connection in 'Star Trek First Contact'. (The casting for the Cochrane character is appalling; James Cromwell looks nothing like the late Glenn Corbett who played him the 'classic' episode 'Metamorphosis' Maybe this disparity in appearance can be explained in a future movie and episode of Deep Space Nine or Voyager.) Shatner & Co at least pay attention to the various strands in the 'trek' universe and pulls them together within the context of their storyline. For instance the distinct possibility that Picard's efforts in defeating the Borg in Star Trek: First Contact is responsible for the alternate mirror uni! ! verse time-line is a brilliant premise.

I'm looking forward to Dark Victory.

Summary: I DIDN'T LIKE THIS BOOK AS MUCH AS I LIKED ASHES OF EDEN.
Review: I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED THE GREAT ADVENTURES OF START TREK, SPECIALLY THE ORIGINAL SERIE. THAT IS WHY I DON'T LIKE SOME THINGS ON THE BOOK. THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP AND FRIENSHIP OF THE 3 MAIN CHARACTERS IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS THEY HAVE; IN MY OPINION THIS BOOK COULD BE RICHER IN THIS POINT. I ALSO DON'T LIKE THE CHANGE IN KIRK'S CHARACTER, HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN INTERESTED IN ALL THE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS HE HAS ENCOUNTERED, BUT NOW HE HAS LOST THE SPECIAL WAY HE HANDLED THESE SITUATIONS TO BE ONLY IN LOVE FOR TEILANI; I'M NOT AGAINST HIS FALLING IN LOVE WITH HER,BUT I DON'T AGREE WITH THE WAY HE FOCUS EVERYTHING ONLY FOR BEING WITH HER. I FOUND THE STORY VERY INTERESTING AND IS GOOD TO BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THE SAGA SPECIALLY WITH A REMARKABLE WELL CONTINUING STORY FOR THE MIRROR WORLD. I ONLY WISH HE COULD GET BACK ALL THE WONDERFULS THINGS THE ORIGINAL SERIE HAS.

Summary: A poorly conceived novel lacking any insparation
Review: Once again Shatner has provided readers with another novel in the Star Trek Saga. This one is piched at the average reader.Should come with a warning:

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Loved it!
Review: Faked me out on the ending. Good twist.

I thought the Enterprize had been duplicated into the dark universe.

Ready the battle of the millinia! Let's see Kirk weasle his way out of this.

I still liked "The Return" Best. I still swell up with laughter when I think of Data's crying scene.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The latest in a consistently strong series
Review: Spectre is the fourth book by William Shatner and Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens. It is a strong story in a stronger series. The weakest is Avenger, the strongest The Return, but thall are well done. Don't read this without reading it's prequels.

Summary: Ending leaves me suspencefull...waiting for next book
Review: I have read all 4 of Shatner's Star Trek books, and none of them are as suspencefull or as well written as Spectre. Looking foward to the next book!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Great Novel! Shatner Does it Again!
Review: I waited for a long time to get this book. I kept up with all the news until Spectre finally came out. I ran out and bought it the first day! I've read all of the other Shatner Trek novels and loved each one. He blends action, suspense and a great plot into a hell of a story. The little false ending before throwing in the cliffhanger was masterful. I'm just worried that William Shatner might write Kirk off in the next one. I mean, if anybody could kill James T. Kirk, James T. Kirk could. I can't wait for Shatner to get this Dark Victory done. Great book!

Summary: A TRIUMPH FOR SHATNER
Review: Wow!! This book is AMAZING!!! It was so engrossing that I read all 372 pages in 18 hours! I liked Mr. Shatner's first 3 books but this is without a doubt the best Star Trek book ever!! Shatner has picked up what might be the best plot in Star Trek-the mirror universe. Every time I came across another character from the mirror universe I became estatic, I know that every Trek fan has probably wanted to know more this place and the TV shows have never really been able to fully exploit it-I absolutely cannot wait for the sequel!!
