Summary: One of the best sci-fi books I've ever read.
Review: The first time I read this book I wasn't very familiar with ST:TNG, so I had sort of a hard time following the book. The second time I read I was really into the Star Trek universe and thoroughly enjoyed this book. The parallel times was an angle I'd never seen taken before in a book and I thought it performed admirably. The final section is without a doubt the best part, and leads up to a satisfying climax, unlike some of the ST:TNG episodes. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: A Trek "Must-Read"
Review: To date probably one of the most well written Peter David Trek books, Q-Squared brings to mind the TNG Episode "Parallels," and in many ways is much better. Although the crew interaction can be a bit farfetched from what we're familiar with on the show, the portrayal of the characters is still superb, especially those from the different `tracks.' The chaotic and climatic ending bring about the same feeling of complexity that also pervades the conclusion of David's previous `big trek book,' "Imzadi." Hats off to Peter David for an excellent book.

Summary: A must to any fiction fan!
Review: I am a HUGE fan of parallel universes, Q, wouldn't it be cool if..., and Star Trek Books. Now, in this book, it ties all these elements into and incredible novel that is the best book of Q, Star Trek, Sci-Fi, and other catigories, probably the best book overall. If you have even seen ONE Star Trek episode of the Next Generation and didn't abhor it, then this books for you. Also, I may be alone, but I would like Peter David's E-Mail address so I can find people wanting a sequel titled Q-Qubed. Wouldn't that be great?

Summary: Typical David: Excelent!!!!!!!!!
Review: This was one of Peter David's best novels! I love it. It was funny, action packed, and fun. The characterization is right on. Some people have critized it becuase of the sex that was stuffed in. Granted that I think it could have done without it, but it was nothing hardcore. Plus the thing with the Alternate Beverly and Picard falling in love flowed into the plot, and provided opertunities to have jokes about.

I highly recommend it, but remember that you should at least have seen a large number of TNG stories to fully understand it. (Make sure you know something about "Yesterday's Enterprise")

Summary: Another "omigod-it's-the-end-of-the-universe" story
Review: If you're one of those Trekkies who is turned on by stories of characters having sex with each other, then this is the one for you.

If you prefer stories in which the Star Trek characters behave somewhat believably, then you might want to look elsewhere.

An interesting premise, that Trelane from the original series is actually a member of the Q Continuum. But the story gets way out of hand as the plot skips across several alternate universes, leading to a completely overblown finale. A lowpoint is a particularly nasty, and more than a little misogynist, story about an alternate Beverly Crusher.

It's also a bit long at over four hundred pages.

Summary: Incredible; just Incredible!
Review: Certainly one of the most complex, if not confusing Star Trek books I've ever read. It took me three read-throughs just to get it straight, and even then I didn't completely understand the novel... and I loved every moment of the confusion! Wonderful! Fantastic! Among the best books I've ever read, Trek and non-trek! Bravo! Peter David's wonderful skills of storytelling, humour, description, and being able to literally grab you and put you in the middle the action hasn't failed to show up in any of his works yet! I look forward to more Q adventures from this great author. Go out and buy the book today. Beleive me, you won't regret it!

Summary: Typical David: Trash
Review: Peter David is a master at making people love his books through extensive use of sex and soap opera gimmicks. He also screws up the characterizations of virtually all of the characters. If you're looking for good Sci-Fi, read Dune by Frank Herbert. If you're looking for good Trek, read Federation by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens.

Summary: The Squire of Gothos returns! This book is fabulous!
Review: This is just an awesome book. It is one of the best novels I have ever read. Peter David does a stupendous job at tying in TNG themes to the TOS themes. It is writtem is such a way that you can imagine how it would feel to be a Q! A MUST read for any ST fan.

Summary: Very complicated, but very funny.
Review: Q-Squared was the first Star Trek book I had ever read. It took me three read-throughs to completely understand it, but it's really cool. There's stuff in it for trek fans of all levels. It has enough basic stuff so the casual trekker can follow it, but there is much more stuff that the hard core trekker has just as much (if not more!) fun. There is a bit of darkness in it, like about the Will Riker of Track A, but that is made up by the pratical joke that Trelane pulled on LaForge and Troi in Track B. And when the multiverses come crashing together... I'd suggest knowing at least who the characters are before trying to read this book, and watching a few Q episodes might help, too.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fantastic.
Review: This was the book that turned me into a Peter David fan as well. The aknowledgments at the begining, 'assume nothing', became my personal motto. The book is very long and complicated but is brilliant. It is the best book I have ever read, ('Mosaic' by Jeri Taylor is a very close second) and I'll reccomend it to any one who likes humour, suspense and extremly complicated story lines.
