Rating: Summary: Need little an Enchantment in your life? Review: Okay, as a veteran of White Wolf Games (tabletop and LARP), I challenge anyone to play a more noble and delightful game than Changeling. It was pure magic on tabletop, even better in Live Action. How could you NOT want to those "merry wanderers of the night" known as the Fae? IF you've ever used your imagination, then I know you remember the magic and glory of all those fairy tales you dreamed of and acted out. So go on, break out the old carboard helmet and sword, and let the chimerical magic work it's charm. There's always time to play. This book will show you how to do that, and let your friends come along as well. Play this, and you'll even make more. Who knows? You might even meet a Lord Oberon or Lady Titania. And don't forget Puck. ;)
Rating: Summary: nothing compares to the fun of a changeling larp Review: the point of a larp is to have fun, is it not? after all it is just a game. changelings have the most fun because their goal in life is just to have fun! i didnt even read this book until after i played, and even though it ran smoothly, i am glad that i did, because i learned aspects of the game that i didnt even know that i didnt know! clean wholesome fun for the whole family (or something like that!) two thumbs up

Rating: Summary: Live-action's new stage! Review: This is a truly sad game, but filled with woders and glamour, too. People argue that changelings don't fit into the World of Darkness, but they're really the most tragic characters. Locked away from their glorious Arcadian home, they wage a constant battle against a banal reality not their own and the madness of the Dreaming. The Court intrigue and dynamic characters make this game a joyful experience, whether woven into a Vampire and Werewolf campaign, or standing as a Freehold chronicle. And that Faerie Magic!
Rating: Summary: There's Still Magic In the World ... Review: This is without a doubt the most fun I've ever had with writing, and I'm pleased to see how many people enjoy it. Changeling offers gamers a chance to look the mundanity of the world in the eye and make a funny face, to drop modern illusions about seriousness and gravity and recognize that what anyone really wants is to enjoy life. So much of the gaming world focuses on death and destruction; it was a great pleasure to work on a game where it means more to laugh and create instead.Indeed, there are some who consider faeries "lightweights" in a world populated by angst-ridden vampires and ferocious werebeasts; but as faeries, players face a dread fate that would turn the stomachs of the stoutest heroes. Rather than die in a blaze of glory or rest comfortably in triumph, all faeries must face the inevitable fact that one day they will simply fade away. How many of us could stand the certainty that we would one day forget the greatest friends and greatest deeds, living the rest of our lives in dim forgetfullness? Yet this is the burden all fae live under, the sorrowful note in their symphony of life and laughter. Understanding how faeries survive and enjoy themselves under this dark cloud is perhaps the most important factor in understanding changelings themselves, and one I worked hard to convey. I'm proud to say it's a challenge nearly everyone I've met in the course of writing the book (and then watching it in action) has been willing to meet. Ah, well, enough of the long faces. If players take nothing else away from "The Shining Host," I hope it's a good time. There's time enough in real life to think *deep thoughts* on *serious subjects* without injecting them into every corner of one's hobbies too! So relax, gather some good friends, enjoy the magic of a changeling's world for an afternoon or two and remember that old bit of lyrical wisdom that goes: "So treasure your friends and befuddle your foes/Caper and dance on the tips of your toes/Drink the feywine and sing some old songs/And remember it's not who's first/But who had fun all along!" Dream On!
Rating: Summary: Review from the "Evil Villians Guild Annual Journal" Review: This piece of literature contains the essential tools to crush our organization. This "Peter Woodworth" and his band of merry fae gamers must not be allowed to share this "Shining Host" with a broad audience, introducing them to such concepts as fun, happiness, and magic. Bah!!! By using this book however, we can lure groups together to play this game, making the task of finding and destroying Mr. Woodworth altogether easy. Their "laughing," their "good times," their "games" will soon end!!! Do you hear me, Peter, you knave? You will never slip out of my grasp again! -Random-
