Rating: Summary: First-rate Review: Thank God for book versions of movies. So many integral things were missing from the film; it was good to have a book to turn to fill the gaps. Overall, the book and film match. Don't get me wrong. But certain scenes that were apparently left out of the movie, but included in the book, lend crediblility to the plot. This is well worth your time.
Rating: Summary: Holds interest even if you remember the film in detail Review: There was never a happier time for the officers of Jean-Luc Picard's Enterprise, as Will Riker and Deanna Troi marry with their friends and colleagues surrounding them. Meanwhile, on far-off Romulus, the senate chamber lights with death planted by a saboteur - death that clears the way for a Human reared on Remus to take power there. Shinzon, the "Reman but not Reman" whom the long-enslaved inhabitants of that world claim as their prophesied savior, need Jean-Luc Picard in order to survive. Even though Picard, toasting Riker and Troi at their Alaskan wedding reception, doesn't yet know the much younger man exists.
J.M. Dillard's novelizations of the Star Trek films are always well done, and this book is no exception. It fills in much that the movie skimmed or skipped over entirely, and by so doing holds the reader's interest even if that reader recalls the film in detail. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK, LOVED IT! Review: This auudio casette rules! Sound effects make you feel like you are on the Enterprise. The Narrator is really vibrant, and has some nice imitations! GREAT AUDIO!
Rating: Summary: Intense Review: This book is filled with twist that will take you for a journey that you will not exspect. From the begining when the "Nemisis" is introduced, (you will be shocked at who the "Nemisis" really is.) to the human end you will not want to put this down. This is truely a fitting end to this generation.
Rating: Summary: Very Good!!! Review: This is by far one of the best books I have ever read. Please take time to read it.
Rating: Summary: Star Trek Nemissis. . . what it seems? Review: THis is just a rip of of a movie. . . it has its good parts but its not the best. . . and to top it all off data dies
Rating: Summary: Best screenplay for a Star Trek movie in 12 years.... Review: Well since Rick Berman and his production team took over the Star Trek movies, there was a trend to have some of the TV writes work on the scripts for the movies. Rick Berman, Brandon Bragga, and Ronald Moore did the scripts for Generations and First Contact...both of which were very weak stories and seemed like a continuation of the shows. Then Michael Piller tried a script for Inserection, and again it was a weak story. Then for Nemesis, they said "Look let's get an acutal screenwriter to do the screenplay" and they got John Logan, and his screenplay for Nemesis (which this book follows closely) was actually very good. It was better written, the characters were explored more in depth, and it had a more epic feel to it. This is how a Star Trek movie should be written and acted out. So I would hope whatever movies they do next, they keep the TV writers out, and have actual Movie screenwriters do the stories for the films. Treat the movies like they were movies.
