Rating: Summary: Life is too short. Read anything else. Review: I was originally put off by the harshness of the review of "A reader from Pennsylvania , August 28, 1998". Now I think it was far too generous. I kept waiting for the what "true afficionados of Voyager" would enjoy. There was nothing. At the beginning of the book, I really thought I was reading a first draft.
Rating: Summary: A good Trek novel....even for a Star Wars fan Review: I'll admit I favor Star Wars over Star Trek, and I say that proudly. The only reason I like NG and Voyager is because of the Borg. When I saw this novel about Seven of Nine, the female Borg on Voyager, I checked it out. I was very impressed, it had a good plot and it showed a side of Seven that was rarely seen, the human side. Also, the suspense kept me reading until it was finished. All in all, it was a great book and I highly recommend it. PS All you Trekkies turn away from the Dark Side and become one with the Force (I always wanted to say that.)
Rating: Summary: Not bad Review: It is a good novel, for those that love ST, but if you want more than just a good (Voyager) novel read Cybersong.
Rating: Summary: Not just Seven Review: It's not just about Seven. It has intergalatic consipracy, telepathic aliens, corruption in government, and lots of Ravens. While Seven of nine plays a pivitol role in this book, it does have a full-fledge intriguing storyline. It has some slow parts and some cliche plot points but builds to a nice action packed climactic end. If you're a Seven fan suffering from withdrawl, this book won't disappoint.

Rating: Summary: A Very Good Book! Review: Ok, this was a pretty good book. It was kind of weird that the conclusion had to do with a nursrey ryhme. And, it would have been better if it was longer (only 233 pages!). I gotta admit, the part with the Skedans was pretty boring. But, it had to be part of the story. As usual, Christine Golden used weird alien names. I really think I got my money's worth for this book.
Rating: Summary: A Very Good Book! Review: Ok, this was a pretty good book. Seven was a bit out of character when she smiled at the doctor. Rating: Summary: Give Christie a break! Review: Okay, I guess I'm sort of on middle ground here, but I'm definitely leaning toward the FAVORABLE reviews. I agree with some in that the rest of the crew took too much of a "back seat" during this book, but hey, someone threw this book against a wall? Come on, grow up! All in all, this is definitely a worthwhile read, although there is a slight absence of character development--believe it or not, even with Seven herself. Think about it--she spends half the book as other people, and the other half is spent saving the day. Where do we see HER?? Still, it's really well-written and quite engaging. And no one can argue that the whole nursery rhyme thing is just great--"Sing a Song of Sixpence" SHOULD have been the title--either that or "Four and Twenty Blackbirds." I actually was expecting (when all I knew about the book was the title) a novelization of "Scorpion." Oh well--I hope somebody (preferrably Christie Golden or Jeri Taylor) writes one SOON!
Rating: Summary: This book was great! Review: Seven of Nine was a fantastic novel! One thing I enjoy about this story is that it really develops Seven's character. We realize that Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One, still has a little Annika Hansen in her, and that she has feelings just like other humans. This story was exceptionally writeen, and I commend the auther, Christie Golden, for yet agian, another great Star Trek novel. Her details are beautiful, and her overall representation of Seven and the rest of the crew is beautiful. I would highly recommend this for readers whpoa re just starting to read Star Trek: Voyager novels.
Rating: Summary: A book about a character. Review: Seven of Nine. The cover says it all. Or most of it, atleast. This book is set somwhere in the beginning of season five, offering good characterization and a decent plot, like all the books I've read from Cristie Golden. The book is a unique piece of character building about Seven of Nine, wich should be read by anyone waching the series. And what's most important, also other characters are given pages. Golden is undoubtedly the best Voyager writer we have seen so far, and she never seases to satisfy me by ways of both storytelling an characterization. And although the plot of this particular novel might be a bit predictable as a whole, it holds out pretty well. Absolutely recomendet.
