But these are different guides, writen by different people. Not to mention, they give a different view on the game.

If someone doesn't have a laptop, this is a portable small (yet helpful) Neopets website.
Also, don't pay attention to someone who can't spell the word 'waste'. A little bit of offense.

How could this possibly be 'no offense to the writer'? Sorry, had to say that. And why are you shouting?

Well, this person does have a point. Stuff has changed since this was released, and this is the one advantage a help site has over this. And why do you think buying unofficial stuff is dumb? 'Oh, nobody knows anything about the site except for the creators, so unofficial stuff is dumb.' For that reason? THAT is dumb.
Anyway, on to the book review.
The book is filled with wonderful artwork by many varying artists. It gives nice descriptions of each pet, and is small and easily portable.
It gives an entirely new look at the TCG, liking some cards I'd never expected to be good, and hating some many others think are great. As a TCG fan, this interested me quite.
The book has some fun facts, and a very nice foreword. Really, this book is better then all these book bashers think.

Summary: Recomended for extra reading and new players needing help
Review: I absolutely loved the book. It adopts a really philosophical view on neopets initially with a lot of interesting and unusual facts and then introduces the reader to the world of neopets.What I loved about this book is that is wrote on a different angle from what one would expect to see in many online websites. The information is more geared towards newer players, however older players can gain a lot from reading this book. The latter part of the book deals mainly with the TCG and does provide quite a lot of in-depth information. Two Thumbs Up!

Review: I learned the complete basics to surviving in the Neopian world by just using the help of other players. Many have created their own websites with help, cheats, and many other things to help newbies out. I suggest trying that out before actually buying this book.

Review: I'm not sure how some of the reviews below even got posted. Some you guys haven't seen the book, so how can you really comment on the contents??? Why bash a book you obviously haven't even seen? Let me tell you what's inside. The book focuses on understanding Neopia (the neopets.com website), and also discusses the new Trading Card Game. The first 30 pages are written by Yukio from PinkPT. If you know NeoPets, you know Yukio is one of thee experts in the world on Neopets. Yukio covers the history, has an intro for beginners, and has some great details for getting started. Here's some sections written by Yukio: - Getting Started

This section is written by Pro Tour Players for Magic The Gathering. They love the Neopets Card Game, and teach you winning play. They show & review all the cards in the game, and tell you how to make Killer Decks. There's also some fun Top 5 Lists. This is a great resource for beginners & fans of NeoPets. It's better than those lame magazines that are out on the market, that's for sure. And the same price as one of those lame mags as well.

Review: It really is a good starter for newbies,as some of the help sites put things in rather confusing (and overwhelming) terms.It has some nice art,a spunky,well-put-together look,with easy-to-understand guides.The best part (and most-overlooked) part is the TCG guide.Listing every card + rating and top 5 for each catagory is good for the players.If you're an advanced TCG player or a Neopets veteran,don't bother.But for those wanting to try the games,go ahead and pick yourself up a copy.

Review: There are SO MANY help sites around, why buy the guide? And if Yukio wrote the intro, why not just go to PPT.com? I've been playing for almost 2 years and can tell you everything you want to know about the place. (I also have a help site with over 600 members) The BEST thing to do is PLAY THE SITE. That's the ONLY way to learn! As for TCG, there are free guides on both Neopets AND Wizards! Now, go spend your hard earned dollars somewhere else!
