Rating: Summary: A Realms novel that really is(though it has a poor ending) Review: Finder's Bane is commendable to fans of the Forgotten Realms primarily because it incorporates so many aspects of the gameworld into its plot and elaborates on them, instead of making something up that doesn't fit well into the world. There is copious reference to the gods of the world in the book; indeed, one of the primary characters is a god. The book's characters are interesting, especially the priestess of Bane and her attitudes toward less malevolent religions. The ending, however, is frustrating and inconclusive. I got the impression that the characters would have become more interesting if they had to deal with the ignomony of releasing Bane back into the world. Sometimes the bad guys should win. In any case, Forgotten Realms fans will enjoy and appreciate this book. If you like Bane, though, get ready for a letdown.
Rating: Summary: An excelent glimpse into the possibility of new gods. Review: Finder's Bane was a delight to read. I have long hoped to learn more about Faérün's gods. Finder will make a wonderful addition. Anyway Finder's Bane details what it is like to become a priest or rather how it feels to become a priest. The story is a great one. Full of adventure with a good spash of magic thrown in. I'd highly recomend this one.
Rating: Summary: Novak and Grubb have done it again!!! Review: Following the spectacular book, Masquerades, Kate Novak and Jeff Grubb have created more enjoyable and engrossing characters that many readers will identify with. Described scenery and supporting casts make this book a delight to read. In fact i liked it so much i didn't want to put it down. Recommended to all who enjoy reading and especially to followers of TSR's published "Forgottne Realms" novels
Rating: Summary: Excellent! A very good book Review: I am impressed by this one. It has been a while since FR has pumped out one such as this. Way to go Kate & Jeff. Fast, informative, detailed, interesting, everything a Forgotten Realms novel should be. I wanted more, I need more! The best part is, I know I will hear from these characters again. Each one was brought to life by fantastic writing. I'm stunned. Thanks.
Rating: Summary: A jumbled intro to "Tymora's Luck" Review: I was rather disappointed with this novel as compared to previous Novak/Grubb books and to the FR books as a whole. But the introduction to the other planes of existence help further define the Realms and are just plain fun to read about. I was excited to see the long awaited appearence of Jas, from the old FR comic book series. Having read the Finders Stone Trilogy several times before reading this novel, I was still a little lost when it came to explaining Bane and the ending was a very big letdown - after all the hell Finder went through with Moandar in the FS trilogy, I expected more from Bane. Having the sequel, "Tymora's Luck" to follow helps alieve the pain of the ending if you also don't like it. This book is a MUST READ just to make it to the next book, which I found superior.

Rating: Summary: Finder's Bane is a boon! Review: Incredible story! It's been a long time since I've read such an engrossing novel. 'Finder's Bane' even outstrips the original trilogy by Kate and Jeff, IMHO...not many stories which involve such an intimate relationship with a Realmsian god. And of course, the fun is only beginning: be sure to buy 'Tymora's Luck' right after this one!
Rating: Summary: A welcome return to form Review: Just as good as the original Alias novels; colourful, well-written, and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: Man, this is a great addition to the forgotten realms series! I never got into the whole Finders Stone Trilogy so I didnt know what to expect from this book. I was really, really surprised to find that even if you never read any of the other books in the series you will enjoy this one from the beginnning to the end. The characters in the book are interesting and the inclusion of the gods really helped out. The only down side is that if you were looking forward to the bad guys to win you will be dissapointed. I recommend to all Forgotten Realms fans.
