Rating: Summary: This book is GREAT, even if your character is NOT a fighter! Review: Even if you or your campaign doesn't use fighters much (or at all), this book is still worth getting for the new combat rules. It's absolutely great!
Rating: Summary: A great book for the D&D fighter! Review: I do not own this book, but a friend of mine does. I looked at it, and now I have to get it! It includes many character kits, and much, much more.
Rating: Summary: A great book for the D&D fighter! Review: I do not own this book, but a friend of mine does. I looked at it, and now I have to get it! It includes many character kits, and much, much more.
Rating: Summary: Good kits for the experanced player Review: I enjoy fighter and this book gives me all sorts of Ideas of what play and new kits to make up or addapt.
Rating: Summary: USEFUL BOOK, BUT NOT THE BEST Review: I enjoyed the kits in this book, and the expanded rules on the proficiencies are good. For example, it has advanced rules on running an armorery or weaponsmithing business. However, the combat rules and most of the other stuff in the book is pretty [undesirable].
Rating: Summary: The Perfect Accessory for Fighters Review: If you have ever played the AD&D 2nd Edition, you know how some rules can get rather confusing. This book lists out every little detail about fighters. It also contains some nice illustrations. If you like to be a fighter, you must get this book
Rating: Summary: Essential for making fighters more than just grunts Review: If you're tired of the typical longsword and shield fighter (thus making playing a fighter boring in combat), this book allows variety and imagination in the creation of the most essential character class. Really, the only Complete Handbook that should be a needed appendix in the Player's Handbook.
Rating: Summary: Good kits & combat tips Review: In general, the fighter is the class which suffers most of lack of depth. But this book contains some very good kits to compensate that and to turn the boring hack-'n'-slasher into a real serious character. The gladiatior and samurai are my personal favorites to give characters more depth. It also has a good section about combat as it describes new moves and situations (and this book is therefor interesting for all classes actually)
Rating: Summary: For player's that want more realistic combat Review: The Fighter's Handbook is the perfect accessory if you want to be able to play such types of fighters as barbarians, gladiators,Outlaws and Samurais. It also has more combat rules for called shots, specializations, hand to hand combat and more combat maneuvers.
Rating: Summary: Way Cool!! Review: The New combat rules are really cool as well as the new weapons. If you're only going to get one PHBR get this one.
