Rating: 5 stars
Summary: great character building and excellent battle sequences
Review: For those who complain about this book being one big battle...shut up! the many fight scenes make this a great book. those of you who say that it had no story have obviously not read the books that come before the legacy. If you would read the icewind dale trilogy or the dark elf trilogy you would find the story of the legacy absolutly immersive and the characters deeper than you realize.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: First book I ever read of R.A. Salvatore, still my favorite.
Review: I fell in love with Mr. Salvatore's books the first time I read them. This book will always be my favorite because it was the first book I ever read about Drizzt, who has become my,and many others', favorite character in the realms. Drizzt Do'Urden is a dark elf that struggles to free himself from his evil kin, and the character building is extraordinary.

Summary: Hmmm
Review: Heh heh, boy Drizzt looks like Jarlaxle just snuck up on him and gave him the lethal drow wedgie. Ow. Why is it on every cover the drow look so messed up? I thought elves were supposed to be these mystical beautiful critters. All the drow look like they need alpha hydroxy or oil of o'lay bad. Anyway this book was good, not as good as DET but good.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Easily the best book in the series.
Review: I have read all the Drizzt Do'Urden books at least twice and this was by far my favorite. Probably my favorite part of the book was the focus on the dwarves, my favorite race. You get to see a lot of their devious traps and defenses.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Book, fell in love with Drizzt and his friends
Review: Great Book, I loved the fighting secuences because they are fully detailed, the characters have so much inside, especially the great hero Drizzt and his fellow adventurers, and the evil guys like Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxle really rock, not to speak of Matron Baenre the mind behind everything evil, great book if you are a gamer or not

Summary: A little too much....
Review: Well, i like R.A. Salvatore books a lot and i'm not saying i didn't enjoy this one, but honestly, it wasn't really all that great. My only problem is that it was one long fight but different people in it. This seemed to be a one chapter book with many different battles happening all over the underdark. I hope Starless Night is better, but all in all, i did smirk quite a bit while i read this. Mr. Salvatore though really really make his fights detailed and thats a plus at least, too bad that was the majority of the book.

Summary: kill, fight, kill!! main, slash!
Review: Wow, look at me, I'm RA Salvatore, a man so inept at writing that I string together one hack and slash fest after another and call it a plot. Oh boy, look at my adoring fans drool on their power-ranger shirts, I must be GOOD! Look, this battle progresses to this next battle, all which culminates in a big final battle. Pretty deep stuff, huh? Wow oh wow, literature at it's finest, right? Yeah, nice. Look at me, i'm RA Salvatore. Blah blah blah.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: for kids only...
Review: Really and truly, if you are actually a *reader*, do your best to ignore those folks who proclaim the works of Salvatore to be "the best books i ever read." Comments such as those say a lot about just how much (and what) they read.

The Salvatore novels are mildly entertaining forays into fantasy, helped out by the AD&D logos on the books. Books such as these are the fantasy equivilent of those awful romance novels that line the shelves of your local pharmacy...little wonder that you can often buy these books at the pharmacy as well...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Simply the best book I've ever read
Review: I've read Shaara, Tolkien, Ab Hugh, Greenwood and King but this is simply the best book I've ever read. It's emotional, gots good action and superb battle sequences and has some of the best well shaped out characters I've ever seen. In other words you simply ust read Salvatore and his novels.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Bloody Brilliant.........shame about the cover illustration.
Review: From the moment I picked up this book I couldn't put it down.......not surprisingly as I had read all the previous books and enjoyed then just as much! Seriously, The darl elf trilogy is the best series of books I have ever read and probably ever will read! It is just a shame that they are going out of print and I don't yet have the full collection!
