Rating: Summary: it gives you a little more to play with Review: it is a decent book, I perticularly liked the Assassin kit( its so much better than just any character class deciding to be an assassin) and with a signature weapon no less, it makes for great Npc Villians as well as characters(depending on whether you are playing a "good"or evil setting), But anyways it is worth at least thumbing through to get some ideas from.
Rating: Summary: Thanks for the feedback! Review: It was a long time ago that I co-wrote this book for TSR (I wrote approximately the first 40% of it), but it's great to drop by hear and read the positive feedback!
Rating: Summary: IT ROCKS A MUST READ FOR A THIEF PLAYER Review: Its the most complet thing about thiefs and their equipment i have ever seen. It has a lot of really good kits. I LOVE THE EQUIPMENT!!!!. THIS IS DEFENATLY A MUST READ BOOK FOR ANY PERSON THAT PLAYES THIEFS
Rating: Summary: New equipment, new kits, new rules (optional) Review: No longer a character class just limited to stealing and running. This book has a kit for all situations. New equipment, new items, and ideas for guilds, a nice spin on 1 of the basic 4 classes.
Rating: Summary: decent, not great Review: Overall, this book it probably worth the money, but it's not spectacular. As with the others, the kits are really cool, plus rules for creating custom thief characters that aren't just like the generic thief class, but an excessive portion of the text is devoted to guilds, which is only partially useful information, and probably better suited to DMs than players anyway (and then maybe only in a thief campaign).
Rating: Summary: This is the best source of info for thiefs Review: This book has everything, including: kits, magical items for thiefs, new proficiencies, info on guilds, new rules, and a heck of a lot more. It RULES!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: You've Gotta Get This One Review: This book is great! It is just full of information about thieves. I've read through it 4 or 5 times now. It covers things that
the players should know about thieves, like kits, backround, and
tools of the trade. It also covers things that DMs should know
about thieves. It goes into depth about how to create and run
an effective thieves guild and explains in great detail
each thieves kit. Over all, this is a must-have book for
all of you players AND DMs who use thief's in AD&D.

Rating: Summary: Too freakin descriptive Review: This book is ok, don't get me wrong. But it is too freakin descriptive and it puts LOTS of useless details in there. Half of the book is just describing what a Bounty Hunter is. I bought this book becuase I thought it would have more than just different kinds of thieves and about 50 pages just describing the guilds. If you are looking for all of the facts get it, if you are looking for anything else, just get a different book.
Rating: Summary: This Book Rocks! Review: This book is the best handbook TSR has ever put out. The kits help you build characters from pirates to pickpockets. The contents of this book really make your thief YOUR THIEF. No longer will you only have "pick locks" as the only thief item. You can now chose proficiencies based on your character, not the stereotypical burglar or pickpocket. Everything you want your thief to have is in this book, with great descriptions. Probably the best TSR book ever, next to the Skills and Powers Guide. A great book for anyone who is a thief, or anyone who wants a thief in their campaign.
