Summary: GREAT READING!
Review: I am a Starcraft player of several years, and when I saw this book in my local book store I jumped at the chance and bought it. I was not let down. The book closely follows the plot, showing in detail what occurs throughout the storyline. Direct quotes from the game are also used. Aside from that, the book is also a very good work of literature. I greatly enjoyed reading it.

Summary: Excellent Novel!
Review: If you have ever played the Starcraft game, then you will find this book simply a treat. It carefully follows the storyline played out until about the end of the Terran campaign, while throwing in some background information on the Protoss as well. If you have never played the game, the book is still an enjoyable read and an excellent start for a new series.

Summary: Well Written Intelligent Yet Simple Format
Review: I have to admit, at first i thought this book was a cheap knock off the game, but would be fun just to have. The book knocked my socks off. If you have played Star Craft you have to buy this book!

Summary: Thrilling
Review: I loved all the detailed action it was like it was putting an image right in your mind. I haven't played the game yet but i'm going to go out and rent it tonight, and also read the rest of the series. I recomend this book to all people that like space stories with a little twist of alien and saving our race.

Summary: Liberty's Crusade Real Disappointment.
Review: I usually like books based on games I have played before. This is the first exception. It is basically a summory of the Terrin campaign missions through the eyes of news reporter Mike Liberty. (hence the title) While I found the plot from the game quite good, the second way through it just is boring. if you have ever played and beaten the Starcraft Terrin Campaign (and if you are looking at the book I don't see how you coulnd't have) then you know the whole plot of the book. I have already read other Blizzard novels (Warcraft: Day of the Dragon being one of them) and I have to say, sadly, this does not live up to the standard.

Summary: Wow! How could it be over so fast!
Review: Bought this book on Friday... Finished it on Saturday. Very very excellent book. Made me start playing the game again! For those of you that have played the game for hours on end, you'll pretty much know how the storyline is going to unfold. However, the book ends about 3/4 way through the Terran missions relative to the game so there is MUCH ground to cover in future books. In any case, it is a great read even if you've never played the game. Enjoy!

Summary: A Decent Novelization of the Game.
Review: Unlike some of the other books coming in this series, Liberty's Crusade is a direct novelization of the campaigns in the Starcraft strategy game (specifically the Terran campaign). If you've played (and won) the game, you know exactly what happens in the book.. right up to the Brood War expansion pack. Jeff Grubb does his best to make this interesting for those of us that have played the game, but fails to capture the emotions such scenes should invoke more often than not. As well, Grubb does attempt to deal with the plot-holes that the original game campaigns created, but is limited by the previously created storyline and, as such, is unable to fix them completely.

Still, the novel does occasionally shine in the form of a new character - Mike Liberty. A reporter for the UNN, it is through his eyes that the story is told. Grubb integrates him very well right in the middle of action, and does a stunning job in the first and last chapters with him. Without this character, I would have been very bored with this novel. With him, it became an interesting read. The best book? Certainly not.. but better than a lot of other novelizations you may have read.

Summary: Simply Spectacular
Review: Those two words completely sum up the book. If you're a fan of the StarCraft series, then READ THIS BOOK! The book is about the war with the Terrans, Zergs, and Protoss, like in the game, but from the point of view of a reporter named Michael Liberty. All your Terran favorites are in this book including Kerrigan, Raynor, Arcturus Mengsk, and Duke. It follows Episode One of StarCraft, the Terran missions. So what are you waiting for? BUY THIS BOOK.
