Rating: Summary: Same symptoms as the series Review: "Star Trek Voyager: Endgame" offers little to the reader unless he or she accidentally missed the series finale. I'm sure it's not the fault of the author (Trek authors are kept on tight leashes), but this book is really only a transcription of the final episode, which in itself was not that exciting (Trek motto: when in doubt, use time travel). True, in the book we're given more of a glance into characters' thoughts, but there isn't much payoff. For instance, when Chakotay is interrupted by the comm system while kissing Seven, the book shows us that he was REALLY frustrated instead of just frustrated (which we could see in the episode). This book is also overpriced. It should have been a mass market paperback instead of the more expensive trade paperback. The only interesting part of the book is the preview of the upcoming "Star Trek Voyager: Homecoming" book. Therefore, the alternative to a mass market paperback could have been to make "Endgame" the first half of a trade paperback with the "after events" (those that will be depicted in "Homecoming") the second half of the same book. Now THAT would have been something to get excited about. And while I'm on that topic.... perhaps "Voyager" would have been a better show if they had gotten home during the last episode of the SIXTH season. Then the last season could have explored the consequences and implications of their long voyage. Can they reintegrate into the lives of their loved ones on Earth? Who will choose to stay with Starfleet? Because we knew all along that Voyager would likely get home in the very last episode, the last season contained no real suspense.
Rating: Summary: Completes the story and moves into the future Review: A very well done adpation of the series ending. The preview of several chapters of Homecoming is worth the book itself. This book gives an insight into the feelings of the crew as it toys with the notion of making it home after 7 long years. A must read...Can't wait for the release of Homecoming.
Rating: Summary: Homecoming Review: am looking forward to homecoming , the teaser in the paperback endgame is just what this VOYAGER fan is looking for.
Rating: Summary: The closure which the series did not provide. Review: Carey has a gift of being able to bringing a teleplay to life in a novel which many Star Trek authors who attempt it lack. But the jewel is Christie Golden's Homecoming, which allows a sneak preview of what the lives of our travelers will be like, now that they have reached home. And how much the Federation has changed in their absense.

Rating: Summary: Endgame. Clever. Review: Endgame had high expectations to live up to. The end of seven long years, far from home. But Endgame was largely been a let down for many fans? Why? Best to find out for yourself. But as time wears on, I find that Endgame served Voyager well. It wasn't your average climax, it's different to what you may have expected. Clever...and memorable. But if you've see Endgame on the small screen, then you'll see Diane Carey has done a good job transferring the script from screen to page. She gets into the character, into what they're thinking. Overall well written, might be worth a second read.....
Rating: Summary: Is it the End or the Beginning Review: First off, I will tell you that I am a big Star Trek Fan. I have seen every episode of TNG and DS9 and just about every episode of Voyager (with the exception of Endgame). I was out of the country when it came on and I have never caught it in syndication. Thus, Endgame was an important book for me. I purchased the Ebook from Amazon and read it in less than 1 day. The book starts out 26 years from Voyager's being catapulted by the Caretaker from the Alpha Quadrant. "Admiral" Janeway sends herself back in time (with a little help from her friends) to their seventh year in the Delta Quadrant. After much debate as to whether or not Captain Janeway (the same person 20 years earlier) should take the admiral's recommended course of action, the admiral and the captain compromise suiting both personalities. Of course, the end is fairly easy to predict, although the journey is definitely interesting. The detail was great. The explanation of the interpersonal relationships was very good. There should have been more borg interaction. The lack of borg participation makes it very unbelievable that it was that easy to defeat them in battle. I guess what I am saying is -- more action less drama would have been nice. The ebook comes with a three (3) chapter preview of Homecoming. A nice bonus and ready to download the next book. My only gripe with Endgame (and Star Trek in general) is time travel in the star trek universe is becoming a bit overused. It's a little too convenient - and becomes an all too easy way of overcoming problems. Enjoy!

Rating: Summary: EndGame from a fan Review: For those Voyager viewers and readers who actually appreciated the finale, this novelization will be a classic favorite...the episode, in prose, with a great deal more 'thought' and character introspection. A tear-jerker.
Rating: Summary: Better as a book then an episode! Review: I am a Voyager fan and found "Endgame" the series finale not that great for a series final but after reading this book I think it was alot better and went into more detail then the episode and didn't seemed rushed like the episode was. If your a Trek fan get this book but see the episode first!
