Summary: The Nanotech War
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this voyager book. I think Voyager is the best of the star trek shows because of the relationship between the characters. It was always enjoyable to watch a show where the crewmembers showed such caring and respect for each other. This book was another great visit with the people I have grown to like so much. I didn't know Chacotay was 50 years old, but even if he is, I really liked the holodeck scenes - I have read all of the voyager books and look forward to more.

Summary: One of the best "Voyager" novels so far.
Review: I'm entitled to that opinion because I've read them all.

This book has an interesting and solid science fiction plot, and it nails the characters dead on. My only complaint (which I've finally convinced myself is not a reason to give it 4 stars instead of 5) is "not enough Janeway."

I particularly enjoyed having someone give me a credible back story for the Chakotay/Seven of Nine romance that appeared so abruptly in "Endgame." Well done! I do hope this author will be writing more "Voyager" books!

Summary: A good Voyager story
Review: If you are a Voyager fan, you will most likely enjoy this book. It will especially appeal to fans of the B'Elanna Torres and Tom Paris relationship. It also gives a bit of a background to the Chakotay and Seven relationship portrayed in the series finale, to help "fill in the blanks" of their romance. The author has come up with an "alien of the week" that is exciting to read about. If you are not a Voyager fan, it will be slightly less interesting, as the author seems to assume that you are already somewhat familiar with the characters and plot of the series. In all, as a fan of the series, I liked it quite a bit, and recommend it to others who are also fans, and to non-fans who are willing to ignore references to the series that they are unfamiliar with.

Summary: Fun Read!
Review: Its nice to see the Viyager books developing though the big wuestion is whether or not they'll get a new life like DS9 has gotten thru the books. Hoepfully so there's a lot that can be mined here and should be.

Summary: Terrific Read
Review: Loved this book! This is a terrific read, I had a difficult time putting it down. Steven Piziks has given us a wonderful story full of twists that continually grabs the attention of the reader. This is easily the best Voyager book in print. For anyone who hasn't gotten this book, go get it, you won't be sorry.

Summary: Fun Read!
Review: Piziks does a fine job with the VOYAGER crew. You can hear them saying these lines in your head! The aliens are way cool, and the plot kept me turning pages.

I also found out he writes "regular" science novels under the name Steven Harper. I don't know why he uses a pen name for these books, but they're also great reads!

Summary: ST-Voyager: The Nanotech War
Review: SDtar Trek-Voyager: The Nanotech War written by Steven Piziks is a book set in the Voyager series prior to the homecoming. Upon the exploration of the Delta Quadrant the Voyager and her crew have met many strange and wonderful aliens. Some who wanted to capture the Voyager for the technology others just wanted the crew's help in disputes.

Well, Steven Piziks has come up with a new alien culture, the aliens called the Chiar. The Chiar are an advanced people who have made wonderful and great strides with nanotechnology. But, as the Chiar were expanding their culture inward and not outward, they have used nanites to advance their technological achievements, thus every where the Chiar had nanites, they were crawling with artificial intellegence. The nanites were the lifeblood of the Chiar homeworld which had layer upon layer of them, the nanites were inseparable from the Chiar.

Now, enters Voyager and her crew, caught up in a civil conflict of the Chiar who think they can harness the awesome power of the Borg... but something goes wrong and now the Voyager and her crew are in a deep peril of their own. It's interesting to see how this gets resolved.

The action-adventures flows in this well-written narrative making for a fast read. The charactizations are believable and the dialog is true . As the Voyager strugles to make it home from the Delta Quadrant, where no human has ever gone before, this is one of the strangest aliens yet, as Voyager and crew work their way through the layered nanotechnology.

As I mentioned the characters are believable and they get fleshed out... especially the relationship between B'Elana Torres and Tom Paris when Tom gets kidnapped by the Chiar. Also, the relationship between Chakotay/Seven of Nine gets fleshed out a bit further in this book.

This book has captured the characters with a flowing dialog and an adventure that was interesting. All in all, this is a very good addition to the Voyager series, you will not be disappointed and it money well spent for an evening. Those wanting to read about Captain Janeway will have to wait... this book's focus is on the other characters of the Voyager's crew making for a fascinating read.
