Summary: The best single DL book there is.
Review: I'm not saying DoAT was bad but this was better by far. It is the best dragonlance book ever and even without the Autumn Twighlight it is a good book by itself and not just a sequel. Anyone who wants to read a fantasy book read the Chronicles and Legends books.

Summary: Best Dragonalance novel ever
Review: I read all the Weis/Hickman Dragonlance novels and this one was my favorite. The Chronicles series is the best fantasy series ever. I get that feeling every time I read the opening lines with Flint Fireforge collapsing on a moss-covered boulder. But, why did they change the cover paintings? The originals were amazing, in fact they were absolutely perfect and really brought out the feeling of the book. The new paintings look like they were rushed and a little bit goofy. But here's to the best book ever written!

Summary: Part Two Of Many To Come.......
Review: Winter Night... a great sequel to the evergrowing Dragonlance chronicles. The ever extending and changing of characters' "bios" can only be expressed as WOW! The seasons and the characters seem to mesh with eachother...and you may find that your favorite; decided in the first book, just may change! Either way, the love story continues to grow, and the battles are just as great, let the reign/ legend that Weis and Hickman have created live on forever...

Summary: Pretty Dang Good!
Review: This was a very, very, very good book like all DL books, but it isn't the best. I read the darn Chronicles backwards, starting with DoSD and going into DoAT. This was the last one I read, and it did explain the Silvanesti Dream more so I understood it better, it explained why Kitaira got all pist with Tanis leaving the inn, and it explained why Tanis didn't know Sturm died until later. Well, I'll give you all some advice. Don't read the trilogy backwards, don't read DoWN first then DoAT or visa versa.

Summary: The best of the chronicles.
Review: This book is the best out of the Chronicles. I dont know why everyone happens to like the first one soo much. It was good, but since it was the first, it kept explaining things and setting the mood, and it didnt go into depth w/ all the characters much. I read Dragons of Winter Night before DoAT so i found all the explanations very tedious and boring. This is my favorite book out of all of Dragonlance.

Summary: Simply the best!
Review: As with the other readers, I too was impressed with the change in Laurana (my all-time favourite fantasy character) in this novel. It seemed fitting that she was separated from Tanis in order for her to think for and rely on herself. The development of this character was amazing, the authors have put an awful lot of time and effort into this and I think it pays off wonderfully. Having done this, I don't understand why she isn't properly put to use in any other Dragonlance novels, other than Spring Dawning that is. I also liked the way so many different events took place in this book but the ultimate goal was still the same. My only opposing comment is that I think maybe there were too many bodies here. For example I don't think they should not have used Goldmoon and Riverwind. They were here only as plot fillers, they didn't serve a purpose like they did in Autumn Twilight. But this is just one negative aspect in a perfect masterpeace.

Review: Well, first, let's be honest. i'm from Sweden and in Sweden the Dragonlance chronologies is coming out in 5 books. Weird, eh? I mean, there is three english books but on our language they translate it into five books. I've read to book four, so you may say that I've read half part three. Anyway, this book (and all the other books are superb). Raistlin is my nomber one favorite. Therefore I'm a bit nervous about what's happened to him when he fainted at the doorstep to that mysterious dude that has been living and recording everyones life in eternety. It sure looks like he's gonna die and so fore I'm anxious to read part five. But this (and the others) is a masterpiece. Dig Raistlin when laughing. Cool.

Summary: Winter Night, what?
Review: I've always had a problem with the 2nd book in a triology, but even though this was the 2nd book, it was good. You need to read the other 2 to get the just of it though.

Summary: Spellbinding dynamism
Review: Fantasy in whatever shape or form doesn't get any better than this.

Autumn Twilight was a solid, good-against-evil action packed novel. We were introduced to our heroes and the world of Krynn. It seductively set the theme for an enrapturing series. Winter Night delivers on the promise by delving deeper into the very souls of our heroes; we see "shades of grey" in addition to the "black and white".

A lot of the action seen in the prequel has been set aside in order to develop the characters further, and rightly so. I was particularly impressed with the startling transformation of Laurana; from a spoiled egocentric she grew quickly through her inner-pain and suffering into a caring, mature and courageous leader listening to her feelings and bringing the best out in the others. The authors pulled this off spectacularly by separating the companions (particularly Tanis and Laurana) early on in the novel.

I ordered a copy of "Dragons of Spring Dawning" (the 3rd and final(?) in the series) while half way through this book and I still haven't received it; serves me right for not buying from Amazon! I cannot wait to see how the story pans out. A fiery encounter between Laurana and Kitiara seems likely; their common weakness being Tanis. I can see good triumphing over evil (to the extent of restoring the balance) but how will the inner conflict of Tanis pan out? I get the distinct impression there will not be a happily-ever-after ending for our dynamic duo, but at the same time I can't see Hickman slaying off his protege.

That's it, I can wait no longer. I'm going out now to buy Spring Dawning; so what if I end up with two copies.

See you all in episode 3.

Summary: Weis and Hickman score once again!
Review: This book is just as well written as the first book, and never has a sequel been written as well as the first since J.R.R. Tolkien's THE HOBBIT. Dragonlance's most popular adventurers continue in their journey, this time in search of the dragon orbs, and the long forgotten dragonlances in which to destroy the evil dragons with of course. It makes you more familiar with Laurana, Gilthanas, and a handful of new characters, and I do suggest a box of tissues for the conclusion of the novel you're going to need them. I highly recomend this book to lovers of fantasynovels. To the Ignorant: Nobody thinks this is better than Tolkien, it's merely something to read besides the king of all fantasy's novels.
