Summary: This book RULED
Review: I have read almost every single Dragonlance book twice. This one is a very fitting prelude to Chronicles and fills in on some of the lost history of the companions, that all Dragonlance fans have come to love. I highly recommend this to all fans of Krynn and especially to the fans of Raistlin

Summary: If you love Raistlin you will love this awsome book.
Review: This is one of the best dragonlance books out today if you love dragonlance you will love this book.

Summary: Good book, but not entirely about one character
Review: While the book was well written and an excellent addition to the Dragonlance series, I think it should have been titled differently. The book may focus on Raistlin quite a bit, but it also provides a good deal of background into many of the original characters. Another 50 pages could have been added to make it fit nicely with the Chronicles. The section describing his experience with the Test was a bit disappointing, too. It was a good book, however. It's just the title that was a bit misleading. A must have for any fan.

Summary: More of Raistlin, and the fascination continues!
Review: Wow! A great, heart-wrenching book that takes the reader back to the archmage's childhood. Pick it up and read it! Whether you are a fan of the dragonlance series or not, Margaret Weis delivers a story of complex relationships and family ties. "Soulforge" is a great prequel to the Chronicles. If you weren't sympathetic towards Raistlin before, you will be after this! The portrayal of the Test was short, and perhaps more emphasis could have been placed on this turning point in the twins' lives; after all, the Test is what the mage has struggled so hard for to begin with! Still, a strong book with great characters. Don't miss out! (Didn't that "fat innkeepers" line send chills!!)

Summary: Excellent! A Must for all True Dragonlance and Raistlin Fans
Review: Margaret Weis is truly in her element here. Finally the true story of Raislin is told, by the one person who knows him best. Raistlin has always been my favorit character in the Dragonlance world, and I eagerly awaited the coming of this book, once I knew of it. This book is excellent. I could not put it down, it did a wonderful job defining the "blows" that shaped the young mages soul, and provided valuable insight into why he did the things he did. This book is Raistlin's story, and his alone. If you want to know more about the other characters pasts, then look, elsewhere, because here is where you get to see them through Raistlin's eyes, and how he interprets them. I love this books and it is a very welcomn addition to the Dragonlance world. A MUST Read!

Summary: Can we say "Awe-Inspiring"?
Review: This book is quite literally, the best book I have ever read. Margaret Weis gave wonderful insights into Raistlin's life and his passion. That book mirrored several of my feelings so forcibly... This book is a MUST for any DragonLance reader. It has my highest recommendation, and I know that it is one book that will be kept on my bookshelf throught my many years on Earth.

Summary: The Best DL Book Ever Written!! Made For Fans Of Raistlin!!
Review: The ONLY true account of Raistlin Majere's life, personally approved by his brother, Caramon. This book draws the curtain away from many of the dark secrets Raistlin has kept to himself all his life. Everything from the man who started it all, to the bargain between Fistandantillus and Raistlin. If you love Dragonlance, you should already own this book. If you don't have it, BUY IT!!! This book covers EVERYTHING! If you don't read it, Astinus will feel very sad. After all, he spent the time writing is. Again, "Soulforge" by Margaret Weis is the BEST Dragonlance book ever written, and I enjoyed reading it. Oh, I strongly recommend this book. You really should buy it.

Summary: This book brings you closer to the characters in the Chron.
Review: I really enjoyed this book because it told you a lot about the characters of the Dragonlance Chronicles. I realize its value even better now that I'm reading its sequel (Dragons of Autumn Twilight). If you read this book then I would definitely recommend going on to the other books in the Dragonlance Chronicles. This would also be a good book to read for someone who's already read the Chronicles and wants to learn more about the characters' pasts.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must for all DragonLance & Raist Fans!!
Review: This is an amazing book! The best I have ever read! This book contains Raistlin's inner struggles that relate to our own inner struggles. My hat goes off to Margaret Weis for such an exellent book and for hours of great reading!.
