Summary: Weis has outdone herself!
Review: The Soulforge is one of the best Dragonlance novels to be written in at least 15 years. Not since the chronicles trilogy was written have I enjoyed a novel so much. I love Raistlin, and it's about time a novel came out dedicated to the greatest mage in Krynn's history. I hope Weis writes another novel soon on more of Raistlin's life, I can't get enough!

Summary: PURE READING SATISFACTION!!!
Review: If you love the companions and just can't get enough, read this! Margaret Weis does an excellent job summing up Raistilin Majere and his test in the tower of high sourcery.

Summary: The best Dragonlance ever!
Review: I thought they would bring out a book about our favorite wizard. I've read Chronicles and Legends, so I knew The Soulforge would be a great book. The best they made, ever!

Summary: Excellent
Review: Margaret Weis does a superb job of fleshing out everybody's favorite character. We finally get to see the Raistlin behind the cold-blooded ambition of Chronicles and Legends. Although some may describe the action as mundane, seeing as how the major action involves exposing a charlatan cleric, ths story is more about the development of Raistlin's character. You want to wince at his slow descent into evil at the end of the novel, beginning with his test. Raistlin's testing is best part of the novel, tying up loose ends with regards to Fistandantilus. Al in all, an excellent novel, although it obviously doesn't stand in the epic quality of Chronicles and Legends. Definitely whets my appetite for Weis and Hickman's new trilogy after all that Jean Rabe trash.

Summary: Very well done book on Raistin's past
Review: This book did a good job of filling in the blanks. What I liked the most about it was the references to characters in the future (as this book to place in the past)... gave a real feeling of nostalgia. The only complaints where the moronic portrayal of Caramon and the disapointing part on Raistlin's test. The the previous books, it made Raistlin's test to be one of great pain and suffering but the test didn't seem to be all of a great deal in th is book.

Summary: The Soulforge, an EXCELLENT book.
Review: If possible, I would have given this book 10 stars. It is one of the (If not THE) best books I've ever read. If you are new to the world of Krynn, it also offers an excellent chance to get acquainted with the enigmatic Archmage Raistlin Majere. If you are familiar with Krynn, then you will come to realize how 'real' Raistlin really is. He is compassionate, etc. not just the heartless person we know later. An excellent book, I reccomend to all people of all ages.

Summary: "This book was forged in the crucible of magic..."
Review: Margaret Weis do it again! I had just finished the Chronicles when I see the Soulforge for the first time. After three full months of wait, finally it arrived to my hands, just to be consumed in three full days. The book covered all the gaps that I had as a first time reader of Dragonlance. It shows to you the first meeting of the heroes, their first adventure, the real nature of Kitiara, the heroe's departure. And, the most important, all the road that forged a precocious six years old boy in the greatest mage of Krynn. If you want to understand Raistilin Majere, you need to read this book.

Summary: Margrett Weis has done it again
Review: I have been a long time reader of DragonLance and this was one of the best books I have ever read. Raistlin is a daunting character to write about, but Margrett Weis pulls it off with amazing detail. This book tells all you could ever want to know about Raistlin's past, in clever and distinct story telling fashion. This book will cathch your attention and hold it to the end, leaving you wanting even more,
