Rating: Summary: exellent Review: it was really good except that when raistlin was talking about leaving the caccoon of his house and venturing out into ansalon by flying away on the new wings, and caramon thought that he actually ment flying on wings. he isn;t that dumb, and by now he should get used to raistling using metaphores alot and even if he didn't understand what he meant, he wouldn't take it literally.
Rating: Summary: the best Review: This is by far the BEST book I have read. This and Margaret Weis's Chronicles are the best reading you can experience. It also tells the tale of how Raistlin came to be.
Rating: Summary: It is great!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I think this is one of the best books I have read. Rast is my favorite character of all time and this book brings out all the questions that I had.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic, Just Fantastic..... Review: If you read only one book other than the First Trilogy,Read This One....Even if Raistlin isn't your favorite character you will enjoy the way the friends met and learned to adventure. This is definatly one of the best Dragonlance books, and I've read them all.....
Rating: Summary: BY FAR MY FAVORITE DRAGONLANCE BOOK!!!!! Review: This story, describing the life of the infamous Raisltin Majere, is truly one of the best books I have ever read. This page-turner by Margaret Weis answers all your questions about, my favorite character, Raistlin Majere. The story is written in full detail, describing everything from the road to his school, to the food he eats. One will find themselves enthralled with the greatest mage ever, and experience his emotions just as fully as one does their own. The writing is superb, as is seemingly everyone else. I suggest this book to anyone who might want to read a DragonLance book, or any book, very strongly.
Rating: Summary: one of the best books ever! Review: Raistlin is my fav. charicter out of all of of the heroes. Him and Tasselhoff. I have been waiting for a book like this for a long time. Now all they need to make is one about tasselhoff.
Rating: Summary: Yet another masterpiece Review: Just the novel I was waiting for. It is a wonderful depiction of the early days, influences and adventures in the youth of Raistlin Majere. It is also a great key to the gap of time from the meetings sextet to the separation of the companions at the Inn of the Last Home, delving deeply into the psychological impacts that form the later Raistlin in chronicles. It offers answers from the formation of the companions to his first spell, life at the mage school, Solace life, and ultimately his test. The book gives the reader a wonderful insight as to the characteristics and personality traits of young Raistlin, his kinship with Caramon, the final severing of the bonds between the twins, and a display of his ambition and lust to power which leads to degradation into evil. Overall, a well rounded and well written book, brimming with adventure, humor and deep thought put into every word. Again, Weis and Hickman have outdone themselves.
Rating: Summary: An excellent character study. Review: This book delves into the mind of Raistlin. It eloquently depicts his idealistic youth and shows the relationship between himself and Caramon. The prequel also explains the ever growing chasm between Raistlin and the other heroes of the lance.
Rating: Summary: one of the best dragon lance books ever Review: One of the best if not the best book ever made about krynn. Protrayed Raistlain like no other has, i started with this book at two and didnt put it down finishing it at tweleve at night. Great storyline and plot. Margret i have to commend you on this achievment.
Rating: Summary: SUPERB!! A FANTASTIC NOVEL!!!!!!! Review: This is easily the one of the best books written in the Dragonlace Saga. Truly a mastepiece!! This book should get some kind of really important award. Margaret Weis is the best author in Dragonlance. I am a hardcore fan of Dragonlance and this measures up to the greatness of the Choronicals. Raistlin is the best character, and I am glad that someone has written a biography on the greatest mage to ever walk on Ansalon, no, on Krynn!!! If you think this book is bad, I suggest commiting yourself to a mental institute.
