Summary: One of the best books I've ever read...
Review: Well.. I'm a collector of DragonLance books. I know, that the best of them belong to Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. But this one.... I think everyone can imagine what it's mean to be a "Sly One".. I hope those who don't liked Raistlin maybe will understand him, and the thing he had done.

I think it's unambiguous that He's my favourite one.

Summary: One of the Greatest Dragonlance Books ever
Review: If you loved the Chronicles, of the Legends series you will love this book. Answeres many questions. If Raistlin is your favorite character this is a must read. I would give it 10stars but they don't go that high.

Summary: I have read this book in the week, it was great!
Review: A great book showing how Raistlin became the greatest mage ever. Also shows how the bonds between the twins were slowly severed.

Summary: RAISTLIN fans will adore this book!!!
Review: It is needless to mention that all Raistlin fans will love the book! As you read along Raistlin becomes more and more real for you. Weis has done a marvellous character study in this book. We are also given the chance to learn more about the Majere family, twins' mother, Kitiara and how the friendship of the companions started. Definitely five stars!!!

However, if you are not a real Raistlin fan you may not adore the book as much as I did. Tanis does not appear to be more than a lovefool, he is portrayed quite differently from the leader of the companions we saw in the Chronicles. It is mentioned in the Dragons of Autumn Twilight that Tanis trusts the judgment of Raistlin a lot and they often have private talks (of course Tas is very eager to eavesdrop!). In Soulforge there is no hint of such a relationship between the two characters! Furthermore in Chronicles it was mentioned that Raistlin had done a lot to deal with charlatans and impositors. In Soulforge we see only a single example of that. The Chronicles had also given me the impression that the companions had travelled together more than what is told in Soulforge. There a few other details which, in my opinion, do not fit too well with the Chronicles. However, it is a great book which you should not miss!!! Some of the events are much compressed, I could have read hundreds of pages more about Raistlin. I am looking forward to read Brothers in Arms!!!

Summary: The Soulforge
Review: A prequel to the DragonLance Adventures, this is the first DragonLance book I read. It tells of the birth and early life of the Majere brothers, and the hard life that they had growing up and adventuring together. There are hidden secrets written in this book about Raistlin's past, joining the Wizard's Conclave, and his pursuit to become a renowned mage. Also, there are many questions answered about his twin brother, Caramon, the twin's parents, their half-sister, Kitiara, and that fateful day, when the adventurers met for the first time. This book is a wonderful window into the world of Krynn, and I hope that you'll get it today!!

Summary: Raistlin's story written by none other than Margaret Weis
Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. Telling not only the story of studying to be a mage, this book tells also how Raistling Majere went through his early life from the age of six. And with Weis writing it, who couldn't enjoy this book? It answered almost all of my questions about Raistlin, and I cannot wait for the sequel, BROTHERS IN ARMS, to come out. I have put a hold on it on Amazon.com, and I suggest that anyone else who loved THE SOULFORGE do so also.

Summary: This book is da bomb!!!!!!!!
Review: I loved this book sooo much! Some people (includin' me) thought Raistlin is nothin' but a sickly mage with a great lust for power that could not handle things on his own, but after I read this book, I look at him in a different point of view... if U R a big Dragonlance fan, this book is a must!!!^_^

Summary: The Best book ever!!!
Review: This book is great, but of course, every time I read a DragonLance book it's better than the last, but this one is going to be hard to top. It is awesome, you feel like your growing up with Raistlin!
