Summary: If you are a true Raistlin fan, you'll love this!
Review: This book rules. Old questions answered, new questions arise. I can't wait until the other volumes come out. You will not be disappointed! A must read for any Raistlin fan!

Summary: A MUST READ FOR RAISTLIN FANS EVERYWHERE
Review: A fantastic read from beginning to end. I could not put it down. I'm looking forward to Brothers In Arms. If you are a fan of Raistlin or just Dragonlance in general you MUST read Soulforge

Summary: You will read this...and if you fail, you will...
Review: Miss OUT! You will miss out on an essential part of the "DL experience" if you don't read this, however DO make sure you've read the Chronicles and Legends first to get a "feel" of DL first. This is not essential if you think you're just interested in the single novel (fools! You will be addicted within a week...). For those of you who know DL (like me - I've got all but 2), you may be initially dissapointed at the lack of promised friendship between Tanis & Raist but when you look back and read the book 3,4,5 times you'll realise that it's got almost the same great "feel" as the Chron's and Legends. Almost - not that I am good enough to spot the difference without T.H. but subconsciously you feel that both authors need to be involved to create the magic they founded at the age of Starbirth...

Summary: One of the greatest TSR epics ever written.
Review: Margaret Weis is a true master of the fantasy tradition and has given life to many characters, but Raistlin Majere is perhaps her champion. This book will captivate and enthrall its reader within a plot that is both cryptic and powerful. The adventure set forth in the book will make any Dragonlance connoisseur feel Raistlin's agony as if it were their own.

Summary: Quite simply, best in the Dragonlance series
Review: This book is simply really good, whether you like Dragonlance or not. As a stand alone work this book is incredible, and it fits even better into the Dragonlance world. This is easily the pinnacle right now of the Dragonlance series - Margaret Weis seems to still have it in her!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The BEST Dragon Lance book!
Review: Margaret Weis has pulled off a masterpiece with this one. A fine tribute to Raistlin Majere, the most brillant character in the series! Can't wait for THE BROTHERS IN ARMS! Keep up the great work(:- Cheers.

Summary: If you love Raistlin, this is the place to go
Review: This book was awesome. I've read about 25 of the Dragonlance books, and I liked most of them. I have always wanted to know more about Raistlin though, and now I do. I've read part two of this series as well and it's even better. I absolutely can't wait for the third. If you are a Dragonlance fan, buy this book. And if none of this has swayed you, think about this. Margret Weis wrote this entire book, beginning to end, and it's not a short story. It just doesn't get any better.

Summary: Better Read the Rest of the Series First!
Review: Personally, I really didn't like this book all that well. But it was also the first book by this author I have read. Everyone that raves about it has read this series and it answered questions for them. So read the others first!

Summary: This review refers to the audio cassette version.
Review: I read the book first, and then listened to these cassette's. I suggest everyone do the same, because the cassette's get the general idea of the book across, but they leave out many of the most important parts. I highly suggest reading this book tho. It will touch your heart. It's a bit different from most DL books. Instead of being about a war or some huge event happening in the world, it's simply about the characters and their lives. I love it, as well as "Brother's In Arms." I can hardly wait for the next one!

Summary: A great book for first time dragonlance readers
Review: If you like fantasy and are looking for a new series, I suggest dragonlance and the first book you should read is this one. It provides a great back gound for the entire saga starting from the get go. Follow up with the chronicles trilogy and yo are well on your way to a great reading experience. This book tells the story of two youn youths and their struggle to survive, and their struggle against each other. I recommend it for anyone, not just those who enjoy fantasty.
