Summary: It was not that bad, but it was missing something.
Review: Firstly, as for the price lists for various troop types, it was incomplete and I was dissatisfied at the fact that they didn't include an appendix with excerpts from the discontinued 'Castle Guide'. Other than that I have no other gripes about the book as is; but if they were so kind they would compile and complete a reference encyclopedia for DMs and one for players too I wouldn't be able to complain. Oh yeah! if they can include psionics information in-depth, that would be cool too.

Review: this book is the best way to create or change characters. in the beginning, it also doubles as a simpler form of a DMs guide, making it much easier to get the actual adventure underway.

Review: I will not say that this is a recommended book to play Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, as it is the most important book for the game. You cannot play Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition without this book. I found that the DM benefits more from the PHB than the DM's guide.

Review: Well, David "Zeb" Cook has certainly done it again, An Essential book for all DM's this edition tops the cake. Well laid out information in an easy to read format. Lots of good hints for new DM's plus some trick the older ones could use to keep their players and adventures organised.

Review: This is a great book. Dungeons and Dragons is the best game. YOu have to have this book to play and it is so much better then 1st edition. It is very well written and easy to understand. I highly reccomend you get it. It read it over and over. THis is a must buy
