Summary: Throwaway
Review: hmmm... obviously a great number of people enjoyed this book, and I must say that I found it interesting, but good it is not. This book rips great bleeding chunks from 'The Lord of the Rings', whilst making no attempt to conceal the fact. For Hobbits, read Kender, for Riders of Rohan, read Knights of Solamnia, etc, etc. Even the concept of the travelling 'fellowship' is pure plagarism.

Each to his own of course, but I strongly suggest that you look elsewhere for truly inspired fantasy (Tolkien, Vance, Moorcock)

Summary: Weis and Hickman dazzle and deliver
Review: Here dawns the best fantasy saga of all time. I can't praise this book and the entire Chronicles series enough. It has everything you would expect from goblins, centaurs and unicorns to breathtaking dragons. It introduces new races such as the mischievous kender and the baneful draconians. The world of Krynn and its diverse inhabitants is matched only by Tolkien's Earth.

The books are written in a way that would appeal to both younger and older generations of readers for different reasons. The characterisations are superb and the disparate plots are well executed. In essence, this is a story of good versus evil not just in the world of Krynn but also epitomised in the inner conflict of our hero Tanis.

What impressed me the most about the trilogy was that the authors were not afraid to unleash the true omnipotent power of dragons. This is where I feel many other fantasy authors (Eddings, McCaffrey and Brooks to name but a few) have failed.

I hope the rumours of the movie are untrue. However well it maybe filmed, it will not be the same as reading this masterpiece with your own imagination; that is, it will not be your Tanis, your Tas, your Raistlin or your world of Krynn.

Summary: A book to open your imagination
Review: This is the first fantasy novel I've ever read and it was just simply wonderful. I would tell anyone, even if they've never read fantasy, to read this because it is very well wrote. Fast paced and extremly interesting. The rest of the whole series is very good as well. I give it 5 stars, but I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Summary: One of my favorite books of the whole series...
Review: If you really want to know if you like this series definatly read the whole trilogy (or Huma) its fast paced, funny, romatic, bloody and shows the different views of the human spirit (Good and Evil). I promise that you'll get so intrigued with the characters that you'll probably want to read the rest of the series just to figure out what the heck their talking about in the trilogies. That's how they got me hooked. Soon after you might me saying "Est Sularis Oth Mithas" ...My Honour is my Life.

Summary: The book starts an epic saga comparable to the "Hobbit".
Review: The book Dragons of Autumn Twilight is one of the best written fantasy books ever. Not since J. R. Tolkien has an author created such a believable world. When you sit down to read this book you are transported into the story with the charactors. The book begins in the "Inn of the Last Home" in solace. Seven friends are meeting after five years. They all went to find themselves and evidence of the gods returning. The seven friends are a odd set of friends the leader being Tanis Half elven who has to wrestle with the fact that he was created out of an act of violence on his mother, by a human male. The rest of the group consits of a magiciam Raistlin and his twin Caramon. The two seem like they are one whole person together but apart two halves, one with brain one with brawn. Then you have the fun loving Kender Tasslehoff and the always grumpy Dwarf Flint. Also in this group is the hated Knight Of Somania Sturm. Whose people are blamed for the gods leaving. The other two are plainsman who wander into the inn with a blue crystal staff that sets the whole story in motion. Now to find out what happens you will have to read the book. And dont forget to pay attention to the storyteller in the Inn of The Last Home he is the cause of the staff causing all the problems.

Summary: I haven't read any Dragonlance books and don't intend to.
Review: I am a fan of The Lord of the Rings. According to the reviews I have read, Dragonlance books are much worse. I gave this book 3 stars because that's what I would probably think of it if I read it.
