Summary: Yet Another Review (Positive of Course)
Review: This is _the_ book that spawned a saga of over 80 books to date. Being a New York Times Bestseller, the quality of the book should be self-explanatory.

The story is set in a world of Krynn, a somewhat peaceful world with magic. As the story progresses, it becomes apparent that an evil force is stirring up in the northern lands. The people believe gods are gone, and now worship a new set of gods. Anyway, enough of the intro.. you'll enjoy much more when you read the book yourself.

The characters are very well developed. All the characters have a detailed past, which explain why they act that way towards the other characters. While they never seem to completely get along, they always work things out.

This fantasy novel is not just killing and fighting against evil. There is humor, sadness, and romance. The humor comes from the kender (an annoying race) named Tasslehoff Burrfoot, who always finds the fun part of an otherwise very frightening or dangerous scene. A magician you'll meet later on in the book also provides good comic relief.

The authors, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, have created a great world for more than enough room for the storyline to progress and expand. The history is rich, and evil is abundant.

This book is the first in a trilogy that started it all. If you are a fantasy reader, you can relate the quality of this book to the likes of Philip Pullman, Terry Goodkind, Robert Jordan, and of course, J.R.R. Tolkien. If you aren't a fantasy reader, this can be an excellent book to start with. If you want more, go ahead - there's over 80 books in the saga, with at least seven of them from Weis & Hickman.

Summary: A journey you can enjoy without leaving your bath tub!
Review: I loved reading this book. It was an excellent thing to read. The characters were great and I read everywhere I went, if you can believe it I was reading so much I got yelled at by one of my Liturature teachers! Any way this book has characters that make you think about life, Tas the kender, Rastlin the mage, and Tanis the born leader, all of them made me believe myself again. I loved these books and maybe they aren't for adults, who don't know a good book when they see them but they are for normal people who enjoy a good read!

Summary: A journey through a new world without leaving your bath tub!
Review: I loved this book. It is very easy to relax and read it while taking a bath or walking from wherever. I loved the characters, they were very heartr warming and sweet, except my main man Raistlin who with out a doubt holds his own twist on intrigue. I loved reading about him. Any way, this is the start of a great journey, and one I will retake over and over. Just one must pay attention to every detail it comes in handy later! Hehehe^_^. Any way I gotta fly, Nabeth(my dragon) is having a fit. Peace!

Summary: The Start of a Journey! And what a journey it was!
Review: This book held me with it's wonderful characters and it's elaborate discriptions, allthough I have heard that the books lack much creativity, in some cases that is true, words are repeated alot like they were with out a thesarus something someone should never leave home with out. any way I loved the book any way. especialy my main man Raistlin! What a dream boat! Power and creativity all in one fell swoop. Well I can say nothing more about something so spectacularly cool! Peace!

Summary: just the beginning of a great series
Review: I have been a true fan of both Tracy and Margaret for many years! The Chronicles series is one favorite of many. It is the ultimate balance of good and evil. I find my self in the shoes of Tanis but also I find my self infatuated with Rastlin. As you turn the pages you find your self tring to figure the both of them out. Not to mention Tasselhoff. It's Comedy, Romance, and Adventure all wrapped up in one. I find my mind drifting to Krynn and wondering what trouble Tasslehoff is getting poor old Flint into. This is truely just the beginning of a great series!

Summary: Dragons of Autumn Twilight
Review: I have only read a handfull of D&D style books so far includeing The Hobit. This is by far one of the best books I have read to date. The story is very in depth yet easy to read. Each page has it's own little twist, best of all very in depth and the battles never end. I suggest anyone into these kinds of book purcahse this series.

PS:If this is for a younger person like me(16) this book is an excelent choice, and also a great choice for the older reader. mail me at:newtek2@geocities.com

Summary: A downhill ride all the way
Review: It's been a while since I've read these books, but I think I can still safely say that no, this is no J.R.R. Tolkien. What starts off as a potentially exciting beginning gets steadily worse with each passing chapter of each passing book. If you like the idea of sitting in on someone else's Dungeon and Dragons adventures then by all means read this. If you listen carefully you can hear the dice rolling off the table.

Summary: FREAKIN AWESOME!
Review: Ok, just to clear things up, I have only read the DL Chronicles, Dragons of autom twighlight, winter night, ect. This was an unbelievable book, the plot was great and though a bit confusing at first if you never read another DL book in your life, you caught on quick. I read all 3 of in 4 days and was devistated to find i had only 50 more pages to go until it was over. All in all I think this is a good start to the greatest piece of literature I ever read.
