Rating: Summary: Hope for the World of Darkness Review: Angst is nice, but face it, do you really need Jyhad politics and the Technocracy and god knows what all of the major antagonists in the White Wolf games shoving it down your throat? Changeling is a bit 'lighter' than that, and it's rather refreshing to have a character with some hope. I reccomend this to anyone. Even the players who want to bemoan their existance need but play sluagh.
Rating: Summary: Changeling is Great for People Who Like Low Powered Games Review: Changeling is a great game that is based on fairy tales from around the world. You play one type of Fae or another (anything from a globe-trotting Eshu to a blood-thirsty Redcap). It's hard to make these characters bland and the flightly nature of the Changeling world allows for endless possibilities as long as your GM is flexible. This is not a game for GMs who like to have all their ducks in a row, nor is it a game for people who only like high powered campaigns. It is ideal however, for the low powered player who likes lots of character development. Also, the nature of Changelings makes it very easy for the campaign to stay upbeat if that is your choice. However, Changelings can have all sorts of interactions with other supernaturals, giving the campaign a chance to get dark if that is your desire. The book itself is in full color, and has the most beautiful art work of any Whitewolf book I've seen (the whole Changeling series of books is well done). I can see how Changeling's reputation for being a girls' game is true but guys, if you like character development, you should give this one a try!

Rating: Summary: Very good but needs some work Review: Changeling is one of the most innovative rpg`s I have ever seen. But as in most of the White Wolf games the organization of the book is terrible you have to flip over pages to find the exact thing that you are looking for, but after some time you can get used to the book. The idea of playing faeries in world of darkness is a most challenging and enjoyable one. And the way that WW puts the elements of traditional faerie tales into their gloomy world is very successful. (`a faerie dies when someone sayas that she oes not believe in faeries` makes sense in the changeling the dreaming) If you are tired of dungeons and dragons style of fantasy and if you are not obsessively inlove with the darkness of vampire the masquarade, changeling is a good rpg for you. For those who think that changeling is not going along well with the other world of darkness games, because it is too "light" should consider that nothing can be more frightening or more beautiful than our dreams.
Rating: Summary: This is my favorite White Wolf game. Review: Changeling is set in a world where Glamour, the essence from which dreams and magical creatures are made of, is threatened by Banality, the cold, harsh disbelief of reality. It is a fantastic game with the potential to be the most fun, without the serious setting of the other World of Darkness games.
Rating: Summary: One of the top 5 RPGs of all time. Review: Changeling is, to be frank, amazing. This game makes the best use of mythology in the modern world of any of the games I have ever seen. Far more mature and subtle than Shadowrun and it's ilk, and without the self-obsessed melodramatic angst of many of WW's other games, Changeling is a game that brings up issues of present vs past, of dreams vs reality, of mythology and tradition vs new creativity and trends. With this game you are free to do anything from a Campbellian quest to kill the dragon to speculation on the way that capitalism and creativity shape the way we think - or don't think. It is, quite simply, the best of White Wolf's productions.
Rating: Summary: Awesome storytelling game of pure fantasy Review: Changeling: The Dreaming is an awsome storytelling game of pure fantasy. This game will cause your imagination to soar. High detail and 295 colorful pages shall leave you in wonder.
Rating: Summary: A must for any fan of role-playing games. Review: Changeling: the Dreaming is not only an excellent role-playing game, but in my opinion the best role-playing game not only from White Wolf, but to be found anywhere. This second edition revision expands upon the rules in the earlier edition and also adds more full-color artwork and more in-depth detail about this stunning and deep world. I definitely would recommend this book to any role-player with any level of experience.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Game Review: Changeling: the Dreaming is one of the best games White Wolf makes, possibly the best. I liked it from the minute I picked it up. The main idea of the game is that you are a fairy from the lost realm of Arcadia, trying desperately to restore imagination to the world. Mysterious paths called Trods lead to and through the Dreaming, where anything and everything can and does lurk. The kiths are well developed, as much as they can be in a book this size. (The kithbooks help a lot.) The cantrip rules are pretty good, but the Realms are somewhat unclear. Character creation is of intermediate complexity, more complex than AD&D but less so than GURPS. The chimera creation rules are a nice touch. The book is also full clor and beautifully illustrated throughout, with some pictures by Tony DiTerlizzi. (Yay!) I especially liked the eshu on p. 50. Some people belittle this game as "fluff" because it is not as dark as the rest of WW's stuff. Actually, you can make it as dark as you want, if you really want it dark. Also, it is really just as epic as any of the other games. The quest against Banality is similar to the Ascension War, and Ravaging is much like vampirism. Play to suit your own tastes.
Rating: Summary: It is the best roleplaying book I have ever read. I Review: Changeling:The Dreaiming is the best roleplaying game. There is so many different paths to chose. The art in it is fantastic. And it flows so well you can read it for hours. If you want to play Changeling this is the book to get. The players guide is good as well. But this is the best book. If you get all the changeling books the back boards make a big picture. plus the art in all the books are the best out of all the other White Wolf books. It is great.
