Summary: More x-files junk
Review: A friend loaned me this book in an attempt to get me interested in the x-files. This book is pure junk, as is the show that it is about. I'm just tried of the lame shows of chris carter and I wish people would wise up. This stuff is sheer garbage!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An X-pectacular spin-off for X-fans.
Review: As an x-fan, I did read this book from cover to cover and I found itselft, an amazing book for everyone that call himself and x-philo.
This book is very good in everything, execpt for some pictures that were in b/w.... But that doesnt matter when you find, such an x-pectacular piece of art.

Summary: great book for an x-phile
Review: As usual, a thorough and informnative guide to the 4th season of the hottest show Fox broadcasting has ever had. What would you expect from an official guide? I have to re-examine the guides to seasons 1-3, but I think they went into more details on each episode then they do on the behind the scenes info, then they did in the other books. I could be wrong. Lots of great stuff about the episodes, which, is I guess the point, but I want the behind the scenes stuff, the comments of the writers, how the fans reacted, whether the episode came off as they envisioned it, etc. This book has that, but not enough for me. However, this isn't meant to be a negative review. It's the best book on the subject out there, and an excellent buy.

Summary: Nicely done, but could be much better
Review: Being the third volume with a different author, I expected a lot more out of my money than its two predecessors; I got most of my money's worth. It includes many more detailed descriptions of the Season 4 episodes, as well as "Redux" and "Redux II" of Season 5. The additional pictures were great, except for the fact that *all* of them were B/W. I really enjoyed the excerpts of dialogue, though being the fanatic I am, I noticed several discrepancies between the book, the closed captioning, and what the actors/actresses actually say. That, as well as the grammatical errors and spelling typos prevent the guide from receiving five stars. I was also expecting more information about Mulder, Scully, and the supporting characters. There's about none in this book. The "unofficial" guides do a better job of displaying the show's inconsistencies, including character addresses, house layouts, continuity errors, etc. Overall, a good buy for information regarding episodes, but not much else.

Summary: The book was excellent and I enjoyed reading it greatly.
Review: I couldn't let go once I started reading the book and I read up to page 133 in about 2 hours! To the X-Philes out there, buy this one and you won't regret it at all!It clearly details the fourth season of X-Files,which I believe is the best season of X-Files.Thank you Andy Meisler!

Summary: Not enough backstory!
Review: I love the X-Files, and I wanted to read more of the "backstory" of each episode.

Instead, most of the book is wasted on the synopses for each episode. Usually, 6 pages is wasted on the story summary, and only one page on the backstory.

We don't need 6 pages of story summary for each episode: we can watch that! Instead, give us more on the background!

Summary: A great guide for die hard X-Philes!
Review: I really enjoyed this book, besides giving a detailed guide to The X-Files, it also gave us a glimpse behind the episodes. All the numbers on the show that have meanings, they gave us, plus they tell us the ones that don't mean anything!
