Rating: Summary: The best FR book I've read yet! Review: This book has an amazing plotline which is that of an award winning book. I loved how the three plots intertwined together near the end. Truly an amazing achievement for R.A. Salvatore.
Rating: Summary: Too much repetions of the charactors emotions Review: I have enjoyed all the previous works but this book took me the longest to finish. Why? Because I got tired of reading the same things over and over again about the memories of the charactors. I got bored. The book needs more new ideas. The charactors should 'move on' and only think about the past once a while, not after every other chapter. And also please don't explain everything that happened in previous books so often. I hope the next book will be good enough for me to finish it in one session.
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: Great book! I've been waiting for another Drizzt book for a LOOOONG time, and just recently found out that there was a new one out, and purchased it immediately. GREAT BOOK! The only one small thing that I had a pet-peeve about was that Lloth was misspelt over and over again (as Lolth) I think you need to fire da editors ;)
Rating: Summary: THE DROW ARE GODS Review: I'm A hardcore Salvatore fan and this book is vintage Salvatore.I just love the drow and is book leaves some great openings for the future!!!I can't wait to read more about the mischeif Jarlaxle will bring to mennzoberrazan now that he has CRESHENIBON!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Still brilliant, but not Salvatore at his best Review: Again, we are enthralled by Salvatore's wonderful fight scenes. Also again we are drawn in by the depth of the characters, but this time I did not find the deep and introspective drow as poignant as normal. Maybe me, but I think the book, though still an excellent read, lacks the depth and some of the clarity (especially in the fight scenes) that would afford a 5 star from me, or to compare it with some of Salvatore's better books in the series.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, there had better be more... Review: I have grown to genuinely feel for the characters in Salvatore's Dark Elf Series. The characters are almost real, their trials becoming the reader's trials. This book was excellent, and paved the road for many more to come (hoping, of course, that Mr. Salvatore has no intention of ending the series). The ending was slightly confusing, since Entreri's burning need to face his arch-nemesis once and for all on fair ground is brought into play. The end of this fight seems a bit anticlimactic, however, unles it plays a larger role later. Jarlaxle communicates to Drizzt after the fight the Entreri will no longer bother him because Drizzt is believed to be dead. The problem as I see it with this line is this: In a world where Drizzt Do'Urden has made such a far-reaching impression as to be accepted almost universally despite his drow heritage, news of his still being quite alive and well would not be long in reaching the ears of Artemis Entreri. Future conflict? Perhaps, but how many more continually unresolved fights can there be between them? As for Wulfgar, he always took far too much of the world upon his shoulders. His apparent descent into the world of evil is a fitting continuation for a man haunted by demons he has created for himself. These can be far more effective than the tortures of the Abyss...
Rating: Summary: READ THIS REVIEW!!!!! Review: Drizzt is back finally! I absolutely loved this novel! Again, Salvatore has created a masterpiece. The subplots, the character development, everything was perfect. After reading all the reviews on this page, I must say that I lost a little faith in the book, but when I finally read it for myself I was surely not dissapointed! I can't understand what posseses people to so criticise such a good novel! As I have said many times before, it is the curse of Genious to be ridiculed by the ignorant, and this is doubly so for all of Salvatore's books. I must say I was a bit dissapointed by Wulfgar, but this did not take anything away from the book. I simply just don't like Wulfgar. If I had it my way, Wulfgar would become evil and get mad a Drizzt and attack him, and Drizzt will kill Wulfgar, yadayada, feel sorry for himself, and in the end he forgives himself and he ends up with Cattie-Brie. End of story, we all go home happy (Except for the Wulfgar fans).
Rating: Summary: Definitely worth it Review: Even if you just remotely like the Drizzt series, buy this one, its one of the best!! Drizzt is cooler than ever before, and his archnemesis is back so u know its gonna be fun and action-packed. i must agree with the other reader below: Mr. Salvatore, you MUST write an Assassin trilogy! Entreri is just the best villain ever. say, how about details about his childhood, before he entered Calimport, or his life before he met drizzt? or what he was doing during the years between Starless Night and Silent Blade? and what happens after... etc. Yes, and there could be diary entries with HIS opinions, just like Drizzt's... imagine, seeing things from the villain's point of view! that would be original. anyway I'll stop ranting, but i definitely recommand this. Kudos!
Rating: Summary: Hey we back and glad Drizzt is too..... Review: Hey this book is a must buy for everyone so you should get it. The only reason i gave it 4 stars was because Wulfgar is an alcoholic, but then again we will see a reprisal and see Wulfgar lose his fear and become whole again, or will we???
Rating: Summary: Doesn't get any better than this Review: Other Fantasy novelist just dont compare to Salvatore in his ability to put u inside the head of a fantasy being such as Drizzt. The imotions are so real and vivid, u can just place yourself there in the confrontation. Allways been a fan(have read and own all FR titles to date)but only the Drizzt saga is so good that it can cross over to other genre readers. Bottom Line: Best D*** Book to date in that it transcends the genre and can reach everyone, A must have!!
