Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ Review: I'm serius, these are the best book I ever read. It's so good that I read it in one month, and my brother read it in two weeks. IF I WAS SUPOSED TO READ ONLY ONE BOOK IN MY LIFE, I WOULD CHOSE DRAGONS OF AUTUMN TWILIGHT!!!
Rating: Summary: Outstandingly Entertaining Review: I've read this series at least 3 times, it's one of the few books that I've done so. I've read many books in the Fantasy Genre, the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, The Sword of Truth series by Goodkind, The Song of Fire and Ice series by JRR Martin, and the Lord of the Rings, by Tolkien. The Lord of the Rings is simply the best written fantasy book ever, as far as the world is concerned. WoT and SoT are a "Product line" and not a story that's going to ever end. While entertaining at first, there's only so much world discription that one can handle Song of Fire and Ice is expertly written, and has some of the best plotting of any fantasy book out there. So this brings me to this series. Two words come to my mind when reading these books: Fun and Entertaining. The words are in simple English. The world is secondary to the story and the characters. There isn't an abundance of difficult names and characters to remember. The story moves along, at a good pace. For a good fun read, check out these books, the authors do not dissapoint. For a complex read, Lord of the Rings. For a not-so-complex, but I like bad things to happen to good people read... Song of Fire and Ice by Martin. (Excellently written books by the way) WoT and SoT should only be used as a time filler. So, if you're new to the genre. Read these books first, then Martin, then LoTR.
Rating: Summary: I have yet too read a better series Review: If you like fantasy and haven't read this series, you must not like fantasy. I have reread the series probally 10 times and each time i enjoy it like the first.
Rating: Summary: a bit of a letdown, but a great read Review: Let me set the stage - it's the mid-to-late 80's and a teenager reads a trilogy that brings to life elves, dragons, and an epic battle between good & evil. He's hooked. Years pass, and he reads much, much more sci-fantasy and *experiences* the written excellence that IS the Lord of the Rings. On a lark, he remembers the Dragonlance trilogy and buys it, and in about 2-3 weeks finishes it up... how would he feel about it? Well, my title for this review says it all. I give the trilogy AS A SET 4 stars, but it really only deserves 2 or 3 for creativity. HOWEVER, I feel strongly that a story that can pull the reader in and carry them along is golden, and this series *does* do that. Thus the 4-star rating. If I were to break the rating out to the 3 books: book1 - 2 star book2 - 4 star book3 - 3 star. The series is hurt by it's obvious 'ripping off' of LoTR and similar sets in the genre, so much so that it's less inspriation and much closer to plagarism. I couldn't read the book without finding myself thinking "I've read this somewhere before", and then realizing it was from Tolkien's works, etc. HOWEVER, this is not a negative review. The books are to science fantasy what those Saturday Afternoon shows are to TV. Not the best, but you'll probably enjoy the heck out of them if you let yourself. This trilogy does a good job of making the reader CARE about the characters, as well and allowing the characters to grow and develop. Further, most authors treat their characters as objects to never really, really be hurt. Here, a main character dies and several are changed by their circumstances. That is top-notch, powerful stuff and is to be commended. As I was reading this trilogy, I remembered I read the second trilogy as well (about Raistlin) and loved it even more. I am looking forward to digging it out and experiencing it again!

Rating: Summary: Omigosh!! These books are SO good! Review: Ok, I've always been the kind of person who likes to read for pleasure. These books are really a ...well...pleasure to read. These are really, REALLY, REALLY wonderful, EXTREMELY well-written books. I actually found myself worrying about the welfare of the characters. Margaret Weis makes the characters' emotions so real that they seem to want to leap from the pages and live a life of their own accord.
Rating: Summary: Legendary Trilogy Review: Simply put Chronicles is the best Trilogy ever put to paper. There is no other that even comes close. The charaters are the best part. I cared more for them than any other character or characters that I have ever been introduced to. You really become attached to them, every single one. Now how often does that happen? The story it's self is great to, along with the villans. Don't get me wrong, there are many other great trilogies out there; Dark elf, Icewindale,Lord of the Rings, Sword of Shannara but The Chronicles is #1 period!

Rating: Summary: The Best books of the DL series... Review: The Chronicles series is THE best books ever written in the DragonLance world. These books rank up there with Lord Of The Rings as my favorite ever. Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman are some of the best writers around. Only they could write books that keep you reading and make you really feel like you are there. I recommend this series to anyone who likes fantasy novels.
Rating: Summary: Best set of Books I've ever read. Review: The Chronicles trilogy set by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman is the start to the best series of books I've ever laid my eyes and spent my hours on. I throughly enjoyed the books, they have everything: Drama, Comedy, Action, Suspense. You name it, it's there. Definately worth the price, and well worth your time. Check them out.
