Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Disappointing Review: Being a new fan of the Gundam anime, and unable to track down copies of Tomino's novels, I was very keen to pick up this title which purports to credit him as the author, when in fact he has no actual contribution to this book other than the basic ideas. I was further disappointed to find that it's not actually a novel, but is black & white line art in the usual manga style which, while it attracts legions of fans, doesn't particularly appeal to me. It can be tricky to follow and often requires a huge leap of imagination to fill in the gaps between frames and the half empty dialogue bubbles. I can only take so much 'What....', 'How....', 'Hhffff.....' etc, before I become annoyed at the lack of more substantial dialogue. As for the characters in the story, they're pretty much rehashes of figures from the anime canon so they're adding nothing new in terms of background or depth to the Gundam universe. Unless you're a big manga fan, I recommend saving your hard-earned cash for the anime.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Not the best for beginners, but a good, manga-style story. Review: Blue destiny is the story of a young MS pilot and his platoon. I really enjoyed this books style and the flow it used. There is probably some other stuff you should know about the Gundam universe that would make this a more wide appealing story, but it isn't absolutely necessary. All in all, a fine story that is well drawn.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Great Concept, Bad Transitions Review: Fans of the origional Gundam 0079 and Gundam Wing alike will have a great time with this book. Set in the Universal Century (an alternate reality to the hit series Gundam Wing, but taking place at the same time as Gundam 0079, 0080, 0083, etc.) Mobile Suit Gundam Blue Destiny is based on a hit Playstation game in Japan. First printed in game magazines, the comic Blue Destiny tries to provide character background to the hit game (which spawned two sequels). Mostly it just provided a headache to people who had not played the game. Bad transitions into dream sequences and flashbacks give the illusion that the characters are in two places at the same time. However, if you take the time to analyze the plot (it was 3 readings of the book before I knew what was going on), you should be able to make sense of the book without taking a plane to Japan, learning Japanese, and buying the game. Again, if you don't mind reading a good book over and over to analyze the plot, pick up this magna.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very good. Review: First off, i want to tell all of you that Gundam has had many different series each with differet story lines and different charachtars. Most long time anime and Manga fans know this. So if you are intrested in this book for the Cartoon Network version, You will find nothing fimilar to you. Yet if you like Wing than this is a great oen to get. I thought that this book was great as long as you are open to many different types of Manga. And a comment on the other reveiw, Most people alredy know this but a Graphic novel is a comic book that is in a book format. So if you arent into comics, then dont buy it, but on the other hand if you love anime and Manga this is a great book to buy.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great manga for all anime lovers. Review: Great book for begginers and experts alike at manga or the gundam series. I have seen a good amount of manga and anime, yet even though never read and Mobile Suit Gundam, I found this book hard to put down and i just read it over and over. Buy it today if you are just browsing or looking for another gundam masterpiece.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: great!! Review: hey, im really 13 but it wouldnt let me in so i had to use the childrens section so anyways. Blue destiny is a awsome book, it has nonstop action, the characters are awsome but i wish it was in color, and around the middle it gets kinda boring and the action stops but then they pick right back up. this book doesnt have anything to to with the gundamwing series which most of you are familiar with but its still good, anyone could read this even if they dont know much about GW but its still awsome, so all i can say is just buy it.!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Blue Destiny Review: Hi, I am a big fan of Gundam Wing and anticipate the arival of Moble Suit Gundam on cartoon network. I love the series and I'm reading a different book by Yoshiyuki Tomino. I hope this one will be as good as others say it is.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: hav'nt read it yet Review: Hi, I am a big fan of Gundam Wing and anticipate the arival of Moble Suit Gundam on cartoon network. Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: v Good Review: I found this book good...It was kind of hard to catch on, and the ending felt unfinished but the pictures and scripts were action packed and I loved the illustrations. I read it after seeing the Gundam Wing saga on Cartoon Network but did not hear of any familiar charachters, not even the original Hero Yui (sp?). Still, a v. good manga.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Reason Review: I know that lots of people (like myself) buy these books because they love watching Gundam Wing on Cartoon Network. The reason that Heero Yuy and the other Gundam pilots aren't in this book is because Gundam had many different seasons and Gundam Wing is one of the newer seasons. This book is probably based on another season. But if you're a really big Gundam fan, then you shouldn't mind the fact that Heero isn't in this book:)
