Summary: The greatest Graphic Novel of all time!!!!
Review: "Mad Love" is; well, let's not mince words here; the ABSOLUTE BEST GRAPHIC NOVEL IN THE WORLD!!!!! It has everything--comedy, drama, action, intreigue, obsession, madness, love, hate, suspense, (and even a little sex). This story tells the origin of Harley Quinn, from her college years and her first day as a doctor at Arkham to her delve into 'manic-obsession' and the lengths she would go to for her "puddin'", the Joker (despite the fact that he treats her like s***, if you catch my meaning). From beginning to end, this ius a wonderful read, and stays fresh each time you read it (how many times have we heard that, but I mean it!!) From Dr. Harleey Quinzel, clinical psycologist, to Harley Quinn, psycotic clown girl, this is a wonderful, tragic story of a fall from grace. (Warning--the last few pages may be a bit to frightening for children, but the whole thing is aimed at teens on up, so....) Blackjack

Summary: Joker's "main squeeze" gets to tell her story!
Review: Based on one of the best of the animated Batman episodes, "Mad Love" tells how Harley Quinn, chief henchwoman and paramour of the Joker, got her warped start. Once, a respected psychiatrist at infamous Arkham Asylum, Dr. Quinn becomes infatuated with her "patient", The Joker", turns her life topsy-turvy, and allies herself with "the clown prince of crime".

After falling from The Joker's favor, Quinn plots to capture Batman, the one that she blames for her "rift" with The Joker. Her "solution" to a backfired Joker prank is priceless.

For fans of both the series and the legend of Batman, this is a visit that one must make.

Summary: The Best Batman Comic
Review: Don't be fooled by it's cartoonish appearance. "Mad Love" is the best Batman comic I've ever read. Unlike many graphic novels that include great amounts of narration and description, "Mad Love" focuses more on character developement - and does it absolutely perfectly. Each character is protrayed exactly as they were meant to be. Wonderfully written, funny, emotional, and deranged, this book shows us the mysterious past of the Joker's henchgirl, lover, and victim, Harley Quinn. It will take your breath away.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I thought this book was cool as in it showed a whole nother side to the joker and it showed how Harley Quinn met the joker and fell in love with him. I loved it alot. Another book I recommend is Batman: Gotham Adventures. That was a very good book as well. If you like the Joker alot than I recommend Batman: The Killing Joke. I do not recommend Batman: The Killing Joke for readers under the age of 14.

Summary: Unbelievable adaptation!
Review: If you haven't seen the excellent Batman cartoon episode "Mad Love," then this is the next best thing. It is amazingly close to actually watching the episode. The drawing is perfect, the dialogue is dead on and it's just an overall excellent story. Even someone who is not a comic book fan owes it to themselves to buy this book if they are even a marginal Batman cartoon fan. This is the kind of book and story that makes you realize that the cartoon is truly for people of all ages. I HIGHLY recommend this book, as you can probably tell.

Summary: The Descent Into Madness
Review: The work that Paul Dini and Bruce Timm have done with the Batman -- a dramatric retro 1930s/1940s animation style -- works at top form, especially in this tale ... the origins of Harley Quinn, the Joker's twisted love/accomplice. While the character had hardly been heard of in the mainstream of Bat culture, she's one sick puppy and well worth the reading investiment. MAD LOVE shows her gradual descent into villainy by the workings of the Joker ... and I won't reveal any more for fear of spoiling the brilliance of the work.

Summary: Fans of the series will enjoy this....
Review: This off-shoot of the sophisticated "Animated Series" explores the Joker's insanity through his female counterpart Harley Quinn (why didn't anyone think of a character such as her in some 50 years of Bat-history??), written by the quite capable Paul Dini, who is now rumoured to be behind the scenes of the next big-screen Bat-feature. Harley and Joker's relationship is a good metaphor as any for destructive relationships, but Bruce Timm's disarming, effective visuals keep this tale from "Killing Joke" dark.
