Rating: Summary: be happy with the movie Review: I like movie novelizations where both the movie and the book are good, but in different ways. The things that happen in this book are almost exactly the same as the things that happened in the movie - I was impressed that it could be this accurate and still be such a short book. There are a few things in the book that weren't in the movie at all, such as, at the beginning, parts that explain what it was like for Cyclops and Storm when they first got their powers. That was nice. Still, it felt like this book managed to leech all the excitement out of the story. It was a faithful book, but not a very fun one.

Rating: Summary: X-men Story to DIE for! Review: I love this book! As soon as I got it, I couldn't put it down! There's a few minor hiccups, that can easily be passed over, but otherwise, this book truly entrapped me!It has a good, always interesting story line, that makes you want to read more! Also, the book is based on the original script, so all the parts that were cut out the movie, are included! I am a major X-Men fan, and have been for a long time, and I found the writers of this book really let the characters come through to the max. If your after a story about discrimination, war, survival, and a slight romantic edge with a huge cahracter twist to it, then this is the book to buy! *~+Rogue+~* (Chris Miller's little sister)
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS GREAT! Review: i LOVE this book! it's definately worth reading more than once. it has basically everything the movie cut out in there! they don't get a few facts straight here and there, otherwise, it's a great novelization of the movie! i love how they included stuff that was cut out of the movie for money reasons and to keep it in the pg-13 area. it's definately a great book. i would recommend you get it as soon as possible if you loved the movie or you're a big x-men fan.

Rating: Summary: X-Men the Novel is a MUST-READ Review: I loved this novelization of X-Men the Movie. Contrary to popular belief, it is NOT a scene-by-scene version, but rather a combination of earlier versions of the script and the one that was ultimately used for filming. One of the key differences is the scene where Logan and Marie (Wolverine and Rogue) first meet. A great read and a MUST for any X-Men fan -- Highly recommended!

Rating: Summary: The X-Men Soar From The Big Screen to an X-alent novel. Review: I saw the X-Men movie the very day it came out. While hunting for the sound track to the movie I found the book, and picked it up. I loved the movie and liked the book just as much. They only thing I don't like about the book is it doesn't really describe the action you see on screen while Professor Xavier is telling Logan about the school. It's a good way for non-X-fans to get used to the characters. Their are in-aqueries with the stories but it's still an awesome book and makes the movie easier to understand.
Rating: Summary: It's Pretty Good Science Fiction Review: I think what is refreshing about both the X-Men book and movie now that I have read and seen both is that they treat it like science fiction more then they do a comic book story. The story of people whose DNA as a mutant gene in it, that gives them strange and often awesome powers. How the world fears and rejects them because of it. And the battle Professor X and Magneto wage over the future of mutant and humankind, makes for good science fiction. I'm glad the movie had this, and I hope the sequals do it also.
