Rating: Summary: Brilliant work... Review: One of the things I've loved about Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo comic is how he makes the world of 17th Century Shogunate Japan come alive in a manner accessible to the Western palate. The "Grasscutter" arc, encompassing both "Grasscutter" and "Grasscutter II," is truly impressive in its breadth. Oh, yes. I forgot about the storytelling, which is compelling and draws the reader in. I won't go into the plot, as that would spoil things, but rest assured that it's solid and well thought out. Married to Sakai's wonderfully-fluid art, the whole is well-nigh irresistable. A whole-hearted recommendation, along with the rest of the UY saga. (Trust me, it'll greatly enhance the experience.)
