Summary: Here's where I like Loeb & Sale...
Review: In these Marvel "color" books, Jeph Loeb manages to reach an emotional core of these characters. In Yellow, he delves the depths of Daredevil's love for Karen Page, just as Blue did for Spidey, by going ALL the way back to the beginning of their stories. Loeb takes the same approach here, but more of a psychological approach. Personally, I find Gray a "colder" book than the other two, but maybe that's by design. After all, Spider-Man and Daredevil are brightly garbed superheroes. Hulk is a monster, now externalized because of the monster that has dwelt inside Banner's psyche all along.

One small confession: I enjoy these books so much more than Loeb & Sale's Batman or Superman books. Both the writing and the art are much more matured. Tim Sale's art, which I once dismissed as scratch, is actually perfect for these "early" tales: artistic and slightly caricaturish at the same time.

All in all, very nice work. I even like the cover, kind of a tip of the hat to those movie posters of monster films of the '30's. Enjoy.
