Summary: absolutely the best manga novel ever.
Review: when i 1st ordered this book i kinda looked at the cover art and it looked cartoonish to me but i heard some good stuff about the series so i decided to buy the 1st one just to see.. the story is better then anything iv read (ok well maybe it isnt but its still really good) and the art is PERFECT -- i draw manga myself and i just admire this guy cause theres no glitches or anything in his art so everything looks perfectly natural. in my mind this is way better than any other manga books out there -- and there are plenty. needless to say the moment i finished reading the 1st book i went online and bought the other 8. Theyre all great buy them all you wont regret it.

Review: From the moment I picked this up, to the end, I was totally enthralled. This is definetly #2 on my list of Good Manga, #1 being the Nausicaa series. This manga tells the story of Alita, a 300 year old cyborg, and the man who "raised" her, Ido. Ido is a bounty hunter, and Alita decides to follow Ido, and registers as a hunter. This volume tells of Alita's bouts with Makaku, a horrid brain-eating monster. YOU MUST READ THIS! The art was incredible, and the story engrossing, and amazingly emotional. This is a definite must-read.

Review: I have read this book so many times, that I have lost count! The spectacular mix of characters, story, and action is like nothing I have ever seen before. I especially like Alita. She is one of the most powerfull and well-written women charcters I have ever seen. She has a depth and attitude that you don't see much in U.S. comic books. Yukito Kishiro's masterpiece has also encouraged me to become a better writer and artist. If you are a hardcore Manga fan or just some one looking for a good read, GET THIS BOOK!

Review: Battle Angel Alita is a breathtaking story. I've read nearly all of the series, and I can say for sure that it is a fascinating tale. A medley of hard sci-fi, philosphical ponderings, cut-throat action, inscrutable characters, and astounding artwork, it has something for everyone. The drawing style is detailed, dark, and gorgeous, and perfectly suits the nature of the very powerful, very confused, very mysterious (and very beautiful) Alita.

Summary: Defenetly worth the money
Review: I never really got into anime and manga untill one day i tried to convince my parents into letting by the ghost in the shell manga, they wouldn't, but i bought this as a comprimise, and i've been obsessed with this series ever since. The art work is supurb, simple yet, ingrosing plot (i think that's right). I bought this in a book store at full price, and every dime was worth it, so buying it cheaper on amazon.com is a must do.
