Summary: A very good mega-crossover graphic novel
Review: The wall between two realities is breaking down, and people are finding themselves pulled across into a different reality - a place with different cities and towns, and different heroes and villains. Facing a war of all against all, the keepers of the two realities have decreed that the super-powered beings of their realities must fight it out, the winner take all! And so the battles begin - Thor vs. Captain Marvel, Namor vs. Aquaman, Flash vs. Quicksilver, Robin vs. Jubilee, Green Lantern vs. the Silver Surfer, Catwoman vs. Elektra, and so much more. Who will win, and what will the resulting reality look like? Read this book and find out!

OK, where do I start? First of all, this is a lot of story to pack into such a small book, I could easily write one that was as thick as the New York City phonebook! What this means is that each interaction between super-beings is bound to be short, which many will find disappointing. Secondly, as neither DC nor Marvel is going to sign on to a project where their superheroes come off looking second-best, you do realize that somebody somewhere is going to pull a rabbit out of their hat.

But, that said, my ten-year-old son and I both found this to be a fun and highly enjoyable read. Admittedly, when one of our favorite superheroes got defeated by a rival, we objected. But, overall we thought that they did a good job of producing a very good mega-crossover graphic novel. My son and I both highly recommend this book to you!

Summary: The Battle Everyone Wanted - Contrived Waste
Review: This is the book that Fanboys around the nation have waited for. The results of the battle were voted upon in the comics beforehand. However, a project of such promise results in a mess (the cliche 'too many cooks' comes to mind) and the writers seemed to lack much of a understanding when dealing with unfamiliar characters.

First off, the storyline was very confusing in an effort to set up the battles. Wouldn't it be better to try to figure things out rather than go mindlessly into fights? Second, the battles between the heroes were often too short, some lasting a few panels, the major ones lasting a couple of pages. Since the results of the battles were voted on by the fans, the winners of the battle were not necessarily who should have won, but the most popular (no way Storm beats Wonder Woman or Spider-Clone beats Superboy). The best matchup- Captain America vs Batman was decided by a sewer.

The story was encumbered by the continuity running in their own comics at the time. The Spider-Man found here was actually a clone of the original Spidey. Thor was somewhat depowered.

The real battles I would have liked to see: Reed Richards vs Plastic Man! Rick Jones vs Jimmy Olsen! Mary Jane vs Lois Lane! Aunt May vs Ma Kent!

Summary: INTERESTING YET CONFUSING
Review: This selection is interesting yet confusing. The story line, itself, really doesn't make much sence, but it does make for some interesting match ups.

It was cool to see some of your favorites face off against each other, though the results were questionable.

Superman vs Hulk - Silver Surfer vs Green Lantern - Capt. Marvel vs Thor - Just to name a few.

The story line may be bad but this is still cool.

Summary: WOW
Review: When I saw this for the first time it was a must have, without a doubt. It shows the greatest of the 'superhero' community fight for survival of the entire world. It is well written and very well drawn, my only complaint was "Why wasn't it longer?

Summary: There's no way to get it wrong
Review: While being unrealistic(as all comics are), this book is seriously one worth reading if you fancy yourself as a comic book fan, or adventure-lover. The basic storyline is that there are two personified universes. One for Marvel, and one for DC. These universes have lived in a state of isolation since the beginning of time, or even further back- until now. They suddenly notice each other, and decided that this cannot be. They summon their champions from their own respective worlds(the Heroes) and let them duke it out to see which universe is more powerful, and should remain.
This is a classic example of hero verses hero, although it has a much greater sense of urgency and importance. It seems that DC comics have the advantage(Being a voratious comic book reader. I notice that the DC heroes have much more powers than the Marvel heroes.). In any case, the book very well matched up as far as the hero-combatants, and the overall storyline is much more deep than I can disclose without ruining it.
This comic had fanatastic artwork, a storyline worth eons of praise, and dialogue that fit in with perfection. I find it difficult to pick out anythign that really didn't appeal to me. This book is one of the best graphic novels I have read thus far.

Summary: Sci-Fi Man
Review: Wow! When I read it I was realy impresed. When two worlds come together anything can happen. I was impresed when some of the charecters meet and become acquainted then find out that the have to battle each other. The combatents were matched very well such as Spider-man vs Superboy, Wolverine vs Lobo, Superman vs Hulk and Captain America vs Bat-Man. This is a great book for any Marvel/DC fan. The only down side is inorder to read this you have to know who the charecters are.
