Rating: Summary: LOVED IT! LOVED IT!! LOVED IT !!! Review: I just loved this entire series and the ending was perfect!!! After you read them all, they come together, feels like you know these two guys and the other characters. Matoh really developed the characters through the series!
My only complaints are that right now they do not intend to continue this series, and right now they don't intend to put any more of series on DVD. I HOPE MATOH CHANGES HER MIND!!!
Oh yes, would have liked to have seen Ryo on "top" once!
BUY THE WHOLE SERIES, YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!
Rating: Summary: Incredible Review: If there is one aspect about this manga that should grab your attention from the start, it's definitely got to be the art. (no rhyme intended). FAKE is a shonen-ai (boy love) story focusing on the lives of Ryo and Dee, two NYPD cops. With intriguing story lines and colorful characters, this innocently funny series is a must-have for any fan of Gravitation.
Rating: Summary: Great ending to a great series Review: In the final volume of Fake, we finally get to see what happens to our beloved couple, Dee and Ryo. Keep in mind, if you're not ready for it, there are some yaoi scences in this volume -^_^- Not only do we get the love story between Dee and Ryo, we also get another crime story to go out on. We get to find out what happens in regards to the murderer of Ryo's parents in a story with an ending I would never have imagined! For Bikky and Carol fans, they are unfortunatly not present in the final volume (except for on a chapter title page) but we have all the stories about them from the previous volumes to read ^_^ The only problem with this volume is, that it is the last one! No more Fake *sob* But, all good things come to an end, not to be cliche, lol! A great ending to a great series, Fake vol. 7 is a must buy for Fake fans!
Rating: Summary: A Pleasing ending to a great series! Review: OK, so it is slightly corny but I love this series. Any Yaoi fan should have "Fake". Even if you are not for Japanese Manga you should try this series. Believe me, you will be hooked. Great stories and our two lovers, Ryo and Dee are "to-die-for". Volume 7 is definitely my favorite because it concentrates on Ryo and Dee and leaves out Bike and Carol. And being a sentimental fool, the ending is simply gorgeous. Hope that Sanami Matoh's next translated effort is just as good.
Rating: Summary: it over Review: the content and drawing improve from vol 1 and 2. The romantic continuation is interesting. I am happy with the ending, however, there is no more volumn. The side story in this book like all others are not that interesting, it alright. There are two events in here that would horified homophobic (sex sences). I like this series, but it not the best (so I give it 4 stars).
Rating: Summary: Great Job Sanami-sama! Review: This book is one of the best in the series. It's story is line is fairly simple in this book, Ryo and Dee are to protect the wife of Ryo's parents murderer. This book has some fairly graphic content hence the M rating. If you don't like Yaoi, which is in this book unlike the previous which delt with shonen-ai, I suggest you look elsewhere. This book recieves 4 stars out of 5 for the graphic content and lack of some main characters.
Rating: Summary: A MUST HAVE Review: This is a wonderful conclusion to the fake series and is a must have for all true Fake fans! It only gets 4 stars for the absent Carol/Bikky story line
Rating: Summary: Hats off to FAKE 7 Review: This is the review Matoh-san may cry about....XD
FAKE ended very nicely. I admit now that the ending was a little corny and sentimental, especially if you just read that last page, but it's excellent. I do have to admit I'm not that fond of the art, but I eventually got over my dislike of macho strong-chin broad-shouldered men and enjoyed it. That's not to say the art sucked- it just isn't the pretty boy style I love so much. Anyone who has read 1-6 needs this, and anyone who hasn't should start from the beginning.
Rating: Summary: Perfect Ending Review: This was a great series the whole way through. And book 7 just ended perfectly. It gave a lot of closure and I doubt it dissapointed anyone.
Rating: Summary: The End of an Awesome Manga Review: This was my first manga series that I've ever read. My friend introduced me to it and I totally fell in love with it. I own the whole series and I re-read it every chance I get. At first I didn't think I'd be into the whole gay relationship, guy X guy not really my thing. Then I read Fake, vol. 1 and I completely fell in love with Dee and Ryo. I read the first one in the bookstore and immeadiately had to buy that and 2 and 3 as well. Seeing Dee and Ryo fall in love was so heart warming, and sweet, especially during the hard times when learning about Ryo's past and overcoming obsticles to that cliche but totally relevant statement that "love conquers all". Other than that the kissing scenes and the *ahem* "special" scene at the very end was totally hot. (I must say, on a lighter note it's about time that Ryo put out. If I were Dee I'd jump him too! He's been chasing him for a while, it's only fair especially after what he put Dee through...) The ending was kind of abrupt and for all you Carol and Bikky fans out there, they hardly made an appearance except for on one page. It ended sweetly. But I, for one, think Sanami should make more. Or at least one or two more movies. ^_^
