Summary: A Classic full of Classics
Review: This books is incredible. It starts off with the new X-men (Nightcrawler, Storm, Jean Grey, Colussus) and how they came to be. It is basically copies of the original comics on black & white paper. Some people are probably like, well I want color... If you have the 1000s of dollars it is going to cost you to buy all these priceless comics in color than I say go away. Otherwise, for the rest of us who don't want to barter our body parts away for comics, buy this and the other essentials. It recreates the story that is constantly being seen in movies and novels, in an easy to read fashion. Forget what you thought you knew fromt he movies... If you are truly an X-Man fan, this is a must buy.

Review: This is for people who are intrested in the origin of Phoenix and the "new X-Men", and at about $.55 an issue it's a good deal.

Summary: Excellent Read!!
Review: This series is a great way to get classic issues cheap! This collection shows the start of the new team: Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Storm, & Banshee. It also shows how Jean Grey got the Pheonix powers. A really awesome buy!

Summary: The Best Way to Find Out about Early X-men Comics
Review: With the coming of the second X-men movie, I was reminded of how much I used to like the X-men in my youth. However, I only watched the TV show, and never knew anything of the X-men beyond that. Then my sister bought me this book, and now I'm hooked. While it's true that the black and white pages limit the drawings, this storyline of the second generation of X-men is the best place to start reading X-men comics. Having finished this novel, I fully intend to buy all the others and continue reading these great comic books.
