Summary: Sorta Like The Show
Review: This book is a mostly like the show. The artwork isn't like the classic MANGA but I liked it. It was cofusing for me to read this comic because you start at the back and read to the front. I think this is a must buy. If you didn't understand the plot in the show then this helps you clear it up.

Summary: If you thought the anime was whacky....
Review: This manga explains a lot more than the anime does, and it differs in many areas. Along with new characters and more explained characters. The art is extremely sketchy and disfigured in many ways, but that doesn't take away from its blunt and extraordinary humor and strange plot. If you read all of this, it is almost certain you'll crave for the 2nd one, buy them both at once to save yourself the trouble.

Summary: fooly cooly!!
Review: well, I just got this book today noticing there was a manga section that was a motherload and I saw fooly coooly after watching the series and loved it. I love the manga too! What is so great about fooly cooly you ask? It's different! It's mind boggling and comedic. Anyways it's about this boy named Naota that lives in an ordinary town with an ordinary life with his perverted father and and a brother who moved to america for fortune who's ex girlfriend, mimika just dosen't leave Naota alone! One day this alien girl with a guitar and scooter named haruko aka the vespa girl bangs him on the head with a guitar and starts giving birh to robots that come out of his head. So thats pretty much the main idea. The manga artwork isin't the ordinary anime style. It's kinda sloppy but who cares I still like the artwork! The series is kinda hard to follow so maybe the series will help. Anyways, this is a great book so buy it!

Summary: What the HEIIO
Review: Well, what can I say? Good storyline, but the anime was way better. After seeing part of FLCL ep. 4 on Adult Swim, I was intrigued enough to buy the manga. I felt unsatisfied at the end, and the plot jumps around alot... or so it seems. If you read slower, MUCH slower, you can see strong (or vague) connections of events, but for a quick read... no. I read this volume twice, read the 2nd one once. I took them both back and used the money to buy the anime (all 6 eps on 1 DVD) on http://anime247.com . Now, I've heard it's a pirated or bootleg version or whatever, but I can't do anything now really, but I don't really care.. It has all 6 episodes on 1 DVD with the English dub and the Jap.Sub. version, and the quality is excellent. I MAYBE will buy the mangas over again now that I know the series a bit better, as the anime is better, and if you want to read the manga, see the anime first.

Summary: Not what I expected, but still good
Review: When I first saw this manga hit shelves, I expected more of a "follow-up" to the infamous anime series. Instead, it was more of a recap of what happened.... drawn differently. I expected drawings similar to that chaotic manga scene (from eps. 1 and 6), but the book was done in a very sketchy type of way, almost like a surreal graphic novel unlike any I've ever seen. It's definetly an interesting read for fans of FLCL, and I do recommend it. Just don't expect anything incredibly detailed though.
