Summary: Great Book!
Review: "When he cried the seven thunders uttered thier voices"This is perhaps the best comic I have read. It's on par with stories like Watchmen Dark Night Returns and Marvels. Again great story.

Summary: Past and Future Collide in the Present.
Review: I found Kingdom Come to be refreshing change in today's world of grim and gritty storytelling. After I read KC I realized that my present dissatisfaction with the mainstream comics world is not wholly due to a change or maturing of tastes, but also because I really miss the adventures of the Gold and Silver Age. I miss the days when heroes were heroes, and when truth and justice were the best and only reasons that heroes fought. Kingdom Come was not just a harkening back to those times with a darker theme, but it was also a commentary on the comics published today and what their interpretation of what "heroes" are. Comics tout main chracters where the line between "hero" and "villain" is hazy indeed, and I believe that Superman's belief that a hero's responsibility is to protect and serve justice to be an echo of all of us readers who felt the same. Also, I must say that the personas displayed by the future heroes, such as Superman's jaded struggle and Batman's searing, sarcastic bitterness, gave them a depth that strengthens them as characters no matter what time their stories take place. I also must heartily applaud Mr.Ross' creativity regarding new characters, the revamping of old characters, and his suggestions as to the histories of both. As for his story, well, it's not everyday that superhero comics take on an apocalyptic setting and pulls it off with drama and style. All in all, I felt that Kingdom Come is the zenith of comic storytelling; it combines both the spirit of yesteryear with the harsh reality of tomorrow.

Summary: AMAZING!
Review: I thought this was a great read! It's been a couple of years since I picked up a graphic novel and a friend recommended Marvels, Kingdom Come and Astro City as new visions of my old superhero friends...What an eyeopening trip this was, this is not your father's comic. Ross and Busiek are amazing writers and artists...If you've ever enjoyed reading comics but thought you'd outgrown them, TRY THESE TITLES!!! They leave you with a feeling that anything is possible.

Summary: Audio Dramatization INCREDIBLE!!!
Review: Recently finished the Audio Adaptation and if this is as close to a movie version of Kingdom Come, then I'll be happy!!! This is'nt some version where only one actor or actress reads the novel, this has the full cast, WITH apperances by MOST of the DC Editorial staff...special effects and mood music enhance an awe insipiring performance...reminding one of the power that radio USED to have through the use of the "theatre of the mind". A wonderful production, and something I'll treasure for years to come.

Summary: THIS BOOK IS THE ULTIMATE NOVEL - YOU MUST READ IT NOW.
Review: Elliot S! Maggin exhibits a brilliant understanding of Superheroes, the nature of heroism, and how to inspire people to greatness. He succeeds in fixing DC's mythos and magically weaving it with the Western Judeo-Christian myths into a mind-blowingly powerful combination. YOUR BRAIN WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!

Summary: Best since Dark Night Returns.
Review: Kingdom Come is simply the best comic since the Dark Night Returns. The hug between Bruce and Clark was inspiring , as was the whole story.

Summary: Kingdom Come
Review: What can I say that hasn't already been said? This is simply one of the best, the most powerful, and the most awe-inspiring comic books ever made. Not only does fulfill every fanboy's dream by having beautiful artwork and interesting characters, but it teaches a moral lesson as well-the future is ours to decide, so we must strive for a better tomorrow. My best piece of advice: BUY THIS BOOK!

Summary: The best, period.
Review: This, quite simply, is the best comic ever written. It transcends the entire gamut of comic writing and offers the one thing that comics so rarely hold out to the reader: Hope. How refreshing.

Summary: The best in everyway!
Review: After reading Kingdom Come I found myself speechless. The way Ross and Waid combined their gifts of telling a story was incredible. If you are not a Superman fan (like I use to be) then after reading Kingdom Come you couldn't help but finding yourself admiring him. It is absulutly the best comic and maybe writing I have read. The reason that I give it a 9 instead of a 10 is for the simple reason of that there were too many characters that I wanted to know about. You would have to be a DC history major to tell me all of their names and abilitys. I could go on forever though about the characters that you couldn't help but know, so let me just say, "THE BEST!!!!!"

Summary: Hero.....and Superhero
Review: The knowledge that superheroes are our modern mythology is explored, and in fact, deepened, in "Kingdom Come". Mark Waid, known for his work on Impulse and Flash, and Alex Ross; the common man's Da Vinci, have created a future for the D.C. universe where the heroes of old have retired, leaving their progeny, their grandchildren and successors, to fight the never-ending battle. But now, the rules have changed. A more ruthless stance is required. And, in a world where the skies are filled with "gods", what are the effects felt by the regular folk in the D.C.U.? What if these heroes are as much a scourge as the menaces they protect us from? And, the question on everyones lips? Where is Superman?
