Summary: Buy it! Buy it!
Review: I have not much to say about this book, that has not already been said. The story is very good, but the best part are the visuals. Alex Ross' paintings are brilliant, and make the art of my other comic books (including Batman: The Killing Joke and Todd McFarlane's work) look very poor compared to this one. It simply is one of the best comic-books of all time.

Summary: A Great Adaptation of Soon to be classic
Review: The audio adaptation of Kingdom Come was an excellent re-telling of this "what might happen" tale of the D.C. Comics Universe. It features great acting by all involved, and was well scripted and directed. While the visualization and imagery of the original graphic novel are terrific, there are few better experiences in fiction, especially comic book fiction, than that of the human voice. Highly recommended!

Summary: A Classic, enough said.
Review: I had not read comic books in a while becuase I thought a lot of the storylines had just been recycled ideas. I picked up a copy of Kingdom Come and was immediately engrossed. It is one of the few stories that all elements story, art, background,..., all fit seamlessly into one. Kingdom Come. It is not the typical, trendy, flashy storyline nowadays accepted as the norm. There are no great supervillians with master plans for our heroes to fight, rather just themselves. My hat is off to the authors for I have not seen seen a series like this since The Dark Knight Returns or Watchmen.

Summary: This Book Kicks!!!!!
Review: All I can say is that this book is one of the best books of all time! DC Comics went way out of their to make this the best DC story of all time. This is a must have for any comic (or even non-comic) book reader. This book shows the humanity of The Man of Steel, The savagery of Wonder Woman, and the broken Batman. Even if a person has the individual comic books, the extra pages are well worth it. MUSTBUY!

Summary: DC COMICS GREATEST AND ALEX ROSS AT HIS BEST!!!
Review: This is an awesome story which comes pretty close to as good as Watchmen. The artwork is incredibly realistic and all the hidden things in the background make it even more enjoyable. The storyline is awesome. It feels like an action movie and believe me, if this were to be made into a movie, it would rock. It all begins with Superman coming out of a ten year exile after the world he thought appreciated him thought his methods weren't brutal enough and thought that the methods of a younger, more brutal generation of hereos were more efficient. He sure proved them wrong. With Lois and his parents dead, he came out of the exile at the request of Wonder Woman and that is where the fun starts. Humanity was screwed from the start of this and Batman knew it, so while Superman got the aid of old JLAer's (Green Lanter, Hawkman, Power Woman, Flash, and Wonder Woman) and started beating them up and locking all the heroes up, Batman waited with his own private army of hereos until they were needed. As Superman heats things up by expanding his membership of his team and going about with the basic motto " You come with me or you go to prision", Batman confronts Luthor and company and discovers the secret of Billy Batson aka Captain Marvel. The final battle is basically a four way battle between the prisoners and Marvel, Superman and his gang, Batman and his gang, and the world. The ending is incredibly realistic and Mark Waid proves he is one the best comic writers of all time. Kingdom Come leaves you wanting more and more because we want to learn all about the characters not main characters like the Flash, Green Lantern, Plastic Man, Aquaman, Robin, and all the others involved. The book was very enjoyed and the artwork is the best out there so anybody whos anybody has to get this book!!!!

Summary: A must read for all lovers of the heroes of our youth.
Review: I have loved Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and all the rest for the past 25 years or so. I have not read the book yet, but after listening to the audio book I have got to go out and get it now. I found it to be a superb adaption to what used to be and how things could have happened since. It really did well to preserve the attitudes that made these characters great, and yet it gave them an odd sense of humanity and realism that wasn't there before. In closing this would make the perfect basis for a movie.

Summary: The best comic-story I've ever read.
Review: This story is literally the best DC has put out yet, and probably the best ever by anyone; truly a timeless classic. It tells the tale of a dark alternate future overrun with irresponible 'metahumans' after most of the original superheroes retired or fell out of public favor. Those same heroes, led by Superman, realize their mistakes and band together again to stop the new 'metahumans' as well as a powerful group, led by Lex Luthor, bent on eradicating all heroes everywhere. Not only does 'Kingdom Come' tell the most spectacular comic tale ever, but also features the most fantastic painted artwork I'm sure you'll ever see in a comic. Any comic fan won't know what they've been missing until they read 'Kingdom Come'.

Summary: A look to a future that can never be
Review: Of course, superheroes and the like are something not of this world, but we like to think they could be! "Kingdom Come" is a look at what could happen to the world should these beings of such power be a part of every day life.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best comic book that I've ever read.
Review: An excellent story, amazing drawings and an interesting treatment to the story about what could be the life of the aged super-heroes of today, I recommend it, it's a must read.
