Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! Review: I absolutly loved this book and dispite all comments, don't think it was a "trashy" book at all. It portrayed excellent writing and discriptions. I loved the charecters and animals and was deeply moved by their struggles. Don't let other's reviews sway you, read this book yourself and discover it's timeless story.
Rating: Summary: Awesome storytelling and compelling characters! Review: For heavens sakes Jean, where is # 5 ? Please don't leave us hanging any longer------
Rating: Summary: This is my favorite. Review: I enjoyed this book. It let Ayla and Jon get to know each other one-on-one, instead of in a large group setting. I think they got a chance to learn to rely on one another. Can't wait to see if it's a girl or a boy!!
Rating: Summary: Where is book number five? Review: My bestfriend in highschool told me to read Clan of the Cave Bear. Now seven years out of highschool I finally read all four books. The were awesome. I want to know what happens next. I was amazed at how much I learned about the Ice Ages just from reading these great books. I just hope soon I can read the fifth book.
Rating: Summary: All four books-WOW Review: My mother-in-law introduced me to Jean's Earth Children Series about 2.5 years ago. I now own my own set and have read each book several times. The great thing--You always discover something new, no matter how many times you've read the series. Seriously though, I need to know where in the world the fifth book is! My mother-in-law and I have had extensive debates on what path Ayla & Jondalar's lives are going to take--And I need to prove that I'm right!!!!!
Rating: Summary: excellent content with intresting details of their trials Review: This was excellent reading and the details made you feel you were there with Ayla and Jondalar. Now that they have finally made it home ,and finally made contact with his people ,I am waiting to find out if Ayla is accepted.
Rating: Summary: A great book of a great series. Where's the 5th book? Review: I've read all the four books of the Children's Earth series: The Clan of the Cave Bear, The Valley of Horses, The Mammooth Hunters, and this one; let me tell you something: all got five stars. But...I've been waiting for 3 years, maybe more for the sequel. Where's the 5th book? For all I know there's more about Ayla and friends, at least two more books..., come on! Don't let us this way, we want more!!
Rating: Summary: I'll Never Forget These Books! Review: I started reading these books when I was in fifth grade. I'm a fast reader, so they weren't to large for me. Now, both my mother and I are captivated with these books, and we cannot wait for the next one. I check for it every time I go to the bookstore, and each time I pray it's there. Jean Auel draws you into the books with her captivating words, and realistic characters. Ayla is about as real as you get. I just want to leap for joy when she descovers something new, or comfort her when she is upset. When she starts thinking about how babies are born, I just want to tell her, Yes! You're right!!! There is never a dull moment, and each part is captivating in its own way. I have read all the books, around 12 times, and I am continuously picking them up again. Yeah, I know everyone's asking you the same question, Jean, but I have to ask it too- WHEN IS THE NEXT BOOK COMING!?!
Rating: Summary: My all time favorative series!!! Review: I first read Clan of the Cave Bear in middle school. I'm in college now and it is still my favorite. This series has captured me and will never let me go. I have read and reread all of the series. It's a wonderful mix of adventure, romance, and very informative of prehistoric times. Because of these books I am continually interested in prehistoric times. Ayla is a woman of strength, power, and wisdom looking for the simple things in life. I absolutely love her! Jean, were is the fifth??? I've been waiting years for it!
Rating: Summary: This is one the best books I've ever read. Review: I have read the earth's children series many times and I still can't get enough of it. Although I read the series out of order each and every book capture your interest from the very beginning and never lets go. Please, please, please put out the next book soon.
