Summary: What a page turner, I couldn't put it down.
Review: This a fun book to read. Lots of description makes it a full and rich text and helps you get into the personalities of the various characters. This is definitley an epic. Even if I didn't know that there are some 7 or 8 more books, this one leaves you waiting for more. I am off to read Book 2, THE GREAT HUNT!

Review: I remember someone recommending this book, and I thought that there is no way I am ever going to be able to read it. This book is really long, but I was so captivated by the characters and story that I had a hard time putting it down to go to sleep. In fact, many times I fell asleep reading. Not saying it's a bad book. I just wanted to finish it and was so tired that my eyes gave out on me before my interest did. I loved this book. One of the best fantasy books ever written.

Summary: What a wonderful book!
Review: The Eye of the World is simply the best when it comes to fantasy books. With some of the most interesting characters I've ever seen in a fantasy novel. (The short tempered Uber-woman Nynaeve, the perpetually shy Perrin, and the mysterious Moiraine, just to name a few.) The plot moves along at a wonderful pace, the characters have hearts and souls, and interact with eachother according to their personality. An interesting facet to this book is the fact that it is written from the points of view of many different characters. It surpasses Tolkien because, well, it has WOMEN in it! Thanks for reading my review!

Summary: This is one good book!
Review: The eye of the world is awesome! I couldn't put it down because of all the surprises and excitement throughout the book. The history and personality of the characters is realistic, and the history and glossary in the back of the book make it even funner to read. I will definitly be reading the entire series!

Summary: Biggest epic struggle between good and evil begins here!
Review: This is a must-read for anyone who loves huge epic fantasy. Don't let negative reviews of later books (Crown of Swords, Path of Daggers) sway you from starting this series, because these first few books are truly great, and the conclusion promises to someday be earthshattering!

Summary: Simply Excellent
Review: This book has to be the second best fantasy book ever (Lord of the Rings being the best of course). I loved everything about this book: the rich characters and setting, the fascinating history, etc., etc. The only quibble I could possibly find with this book would be the few ideas he kind of copied from Tolkien. The journey to Caemlyn is just like the journey to Rivendell, the Shadowmen are almost identical to ring-wraiths, Lan being the uncrowned king is very similar to Aragorn, the Mountains of Mist=The Misty Mountains, the Dark One being imprisoned in Shayol Ghul (I think I spelled that right) is like Sauron being imprisoned in Mirkwood as detailed in the Silmarillion.

Summary: Great fantasy!!!!!
Review: Jordan is a fantastic fantasy writer, no doubt about that. His first book was very entertaining and capturing, but there was something about the last chapters the confused me: His battle with Aginor. I think it became more confusing in the norwegian version of the book because it wasn't written in Jordan's "true language" it was translated from English to Norwegian. I think I will read the last chapters in the english version, maybe it will become easier to understand than.

Summary: This Book was Excellent!
Review: I loved "The Eye of the World" it was entertaining as much as it was exciting. Politics play a major role in this book. If you liked J.R.R. Tolkien's books, you'll love This book. I'll definitely be reading the whole series!

Summary: This book is the bomb!
Review: This is the spot to begin absorbing this incomparable series! A fantastic introduction to the world and characters of the Wheel of Time. As much of a hardcore and lifelong fan of Tolkien as I am, Jordan's work easily holds up to the benchmark set by the master as he alights at the top of this genre. One of my all-time favorite books, hope it will be one of yours, too.
