read and enjoy this book. You won't beable to put this one down, not fore vary long anyway. Once you read the EYE OF THE WORLD you will have to read the rest of the series right then and NOW!! To sum it up the book and all WOW!!! Thats all WOW!!

Summary: A magnificent saga
Review: The Eye of the World is a remarkable first book in a remarkable saga. The first 60 or so pages were hard for me to get into, I wanted to set the the book down and forget about it. Then BANG the book exploded and never slowed down. Jordan did a magnificent job detailing the trek Rand and his companions took from the Two Rivers to Blight and every place in between. He leaves so much open that you never know what will happen in the next chapter or the next book. The saga has everything from mystery to a little romance, but one thing is always for sure it has a lot of action and a lot of detail. You will never get lost and you will never say to yourself "now who is this character again" because every character is finely crafted. Now true the series slacked off in book three, picked in Shadow Riseing(book 4), but regained full momentum in Fires from Heaven(book 5). After writeing a letter to Mr. Jordan I recieved a reply and he explained what the hold up was with future books and possibley with the slack in book three and four. It seems that his publishers were pushing him to release his books one a year, but with a series like this you need to take your time to write. He convinced his publisher to release them when HE is finished writeing them. So you can look for his books to be released about 1 1/2 years apart. The wait sucks but the book will be better reading. Book 8 should be released soon, it is titled Path of Daggers

Review: The Wheel of Time Series
The 1st book is a great book, it starts the series off with a bang. in this book you meet the charicters Rand Al'thore, Mat, Perrin, Egwene, Nyneave, and lots of others. if you like epic fanticy like the death Gate Cycle by wies and Hickmen. This is one of the very few series that can be compaired to the Lord of the Rings. now to be fair The Lord of the Rings is the 2nd best selling book behind the Bible, if you enjoyed the triligy you will love the jordan books for they are simpler to read and understand.
I give this book an A+. For the person who dosent want the series to end this is the ideal choice for there are now 7 books in the series all over 500 pages. That may seem to be alot of reading but I finished each book in little over a weak each and i'm only 15. Once you start you cant put the book down. I would recomend these books for any one who loves a good fanticy book

Summary: A really great book for those who like to take their time
Review: This is the first in a series of fantasy novels written by Robert Jordan. This story is for the reader who loves great detail and lots of character and storyline development. There are so many subtile hints in this book, you have to read slowly to make sure you got all the information to stay up to date on whats happening in the storyline. For me, the main attraction about his book is the detailed fighting scenes and use of magic-like powers. Read this book if you want to begin a tale that brings hour upon hour of enjoyment and takes you away from boring everyday life to a world with surprises around every corner

Review: COOMPARE THIS BOOK TO TOLKIEN? SHAKESPEAR? Tolkiens series was literally a work of art, While this book isn't fit to, uhh.... something really bad. How can you even consider comparing this book to the artistry of tolkiens masterpiece? Now don't get me wrong, I didnt particularly like the lord of the rings series, but I recognize talent when I see it, and this is not talent. this is sophomoric and boring. WHAT A LOAD OF GARBAGE!

Summary: I am not a friend or relative of Jordan's
Review: However, I still feel that the Wheel of Time series is brilliant. This book sunk its hooks into me in the prologue, and it never let go. As the insane Lews Therin Telamon (A.K.A. the Dragon) stumbled through the ruins of the shattered world which he was responsible for breaking, I inwardly prayed for him to receive a chance at redemption. My prayers were answered, but not in the way most of us would expect. The Dragon is a Christ-like figured who is viewed as an anti-Christ by those in Jordan's world. The great leader who led the forces of the Light against the Shadow is remembered as a kin-slaying madman who broke the world.Many people complain that this series is far too long, but it is only too long in the way that Monty Python's The Holy Grail is too long. The plot is somewhat familiar, and the ending is rather predictable, but the exciting (mis)adventures of our heroes coupled with the humorous interactions between them separates this book from most others within the fantasy genre. Every one of Jordan's characters has origins in various mythological and biblical characters. For example, we find elements of the Norse god Odin and the Native American coyote trickster in Mat Cauthon. We find elements of the Norse Tew and the biblical Christ in Rand. One can read and re-read this series searching for such allusions, and they will continue to find them, providing hours of entertainment beyond the first reading. Many say that Jordan's work lacks originality, but I submit to you that all literary works lack originality. Jordan has masterfully drawn stories and characters from many ancient classics and combined them to form a classic tale of the struggle between the Light and the Shadow. The name of the series drives this point home. Time is cyclical. The question we can then ask is: Did Jordan borrow from these myths, or did the authors of these myths borrow from Jordan in our future/past? We all know that the answer to this question is 'No', but Jordan's mesmerizing style makes it easy to pretend that the answer is 'Yes' for a little while. In essence, I find the Wheel of Time series to be a refreshing oasis in the vast desert which most of us call the fantasy genre

Summary: Read the beginning of the best
Review: This is the first book in a series of books, The Wheel of Time, that has me and other Jordanites panting to receive his next book. It is the classic good against evil series with supreme story telling as well as great attention to plot, setting, details, and characters. This is my favorite book, as it got me interested not only in this series, but fantasy/science fiction as a genre. Try it and you too will be hooked

Review: This was quite a novel. Women have a greater role than in tolkein and the plot is much better, a must read. This is definatly the all-time greatest fantasy novel
