Summary: It starts out slow but stick with it. you wont regret it
Review: I HAD SEEN EOTW IN BOOKSTORES A LOT BUT I WAS ALWAYS AFRAID TO BUY IT BECAUSE OF ITS LENGTH. THEN FINALLY ONE DAY I BIT THE BULLET AND DECIDED TO READ IT. AFTER READING ABOUT 100 PAGES IN I HATED IT. IT STARTED OUT SLOWER THAN ANY OTHER BOOK I HAD EVER READ SO I DECIDED TO STOP READING IT. ABOUT ONE MONTH LATER I PICKED IT BACK UP SINCE I WAS BORED. I THEN READ MAYBE ANOTHER THIRTY PAGES AND WAS HOOKED FROM THERE AFTER. I THEN FINISHED IT AROUND A WEEK AND A HALF LATER. SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD FANTASY NOVEL PICK THIS UP AND READ 100 PAGES IN AND FROM THERE UNTIL THE LAST SENTENCE OF THE BOOK YOU WILL BE HOKKED.

Summary: A wonderful start!!
Review: This is one of those books that is awesome as you read it, and only after you move on to the other books in the series do you realize how it was really just a beginning. For me, the series doesn't really get going until The Shadow Rising, everything else before that is just setting the stage! My favorite series by far!!

Summary: My opinion of a GREAT book
Review: Ok, I absolutely love the Wheel of Time and the Eye of the World(duh). As I read the bad reviews of this book and series, I have two feelings toward these reviewers. One is curiousity, about why and how someone could live without loving WOT. The other is pity, that tey can't understand something like it. People complain that he uses too much description. I love it. I gobble up every description, as i brings me closer to this world that I seem to live in more often than here. As for complaining about the length, that is pathetic. If you can't read a book this long, than you don't deserve to. And the wait. Come on, you guys! I'd like to see any one of you write a thousand page book in a year that comes remotely close to a WoT book. I would just like to ssay that i think that this is the best seven books that exist(and I have read a lot, _incuding_ Tolkein). I can't wait fr TPoD!

Summary: The best series of all time
Review: There is probably nothing that I could say about this series and this book that has not been said by many people. To repeat one thing, this is the best fantasy series ever written! Anyone considering buying this book and beginning this series doesn't need to read any further. Your one consideration should only be whether you're willing to dedicate the next few weeks of your life to this series, because you WILL NOT be able to put these books down. If you have any question whether or not this is worth buying, take a look at the reviews for Book 8, Path of Daggers. It doesn't even come out until November (any Jordan fan knows this) and there are already over 150 reviews, and most of them are 5 star. The best series EVER!!!

Summary: Robert's work here IS WAY BEYOND TOLKINS!
Review: I've seen many reviews that compair Robert to J.R.R. Tolkin. Robert's work in "The Wheel Of Time" series IS Way Beyond Tolkins' work! It draws you into the story! To me the work is extreamly 'life-like' in the way the characters conduct themselves in every way. Read a few lines if you get a chance! Beware, the story is very complex(many characters, plots, etc.) You won't regret it!

Summary: The Best of The Best
Review: I am a science fiction reader. I thought I always would be one. Then I read this book and was amazed by the depth and reality of the chracters. They are not brave, but have fears like anyone else. Jordan manages to make a story so believable and so engrossing, that you won't want to put it down. Jordan is on his 8th book in the series now and still going strong.

Summary: It was worth my wile
Review: I thought it was very descriptive and had a lot of detales and thoughts. I really could not stop reading it normally a 813 page book is hard to get through but this kept me on the edge of my seat. I also like the glossary in the back of the book, it was hard to understand because you were being introduced to a new world but the glossary made it much easyer to understand. I am 11 years old and enjoyed this book very much and would recomend it for other fantasy fans.

Summary: Setting the scene and nothing else
Review: If I had to base WoT on this book alone I would say that it wasn't worth it. Jordan spends pages on details and setting without really getting much done. That fact made me reject the book time and time again but once I finally got through it and read The Great Hunt, I discovered my perseverance rewarded by the gripping storyline in a world that Mr. Jordan spent an entire book introducing to us. While I could relate to none of the characters and I found that I hated the hero (I'm not the only one who wants to shoot Rand, right?), I was still drawn in and led to care deeply about what happened to the characters. Jordan's eye for detail is unmatched even by Tolkien to whom he is always compared. While overall I prefer Tolkien to Jordan, I am compelled to admit that Jordan has few rivals in the sheer scope of his vision.

Summary: The perfect beginning to a wonderfully written series
Review: I have read this series many times and it is hard to take one book away without the entire story losing the author's vision of this mysteries world of which he writes. In The Eye of the World, three young men who up to this point have only drempt of adventure are thrust into the heart of the most dangerous adventure their world has ever known. Jordan uses the fine art of the human imagination to make all of his characters grow before his readers eyes, while showing the sorrow of that growth through all their hardships. I highly recommend this book and the whole series to anyone who loves a book with a powerful message and wonderfully written characters. This book is worth every one of those five stars.

Summary: Entertaining, Easy read
Review: Reading this book you can kind of tell it is a first of a series. The content is good but the way the story is told you can tell the author wants to say so much more but is afraid to becuase he doesn't want to bore his reader. It is a must read in order to introduce yourself to the characters. The strange thing is that the characters are all too alike...only about five character types stand out and the rest kind of fall in behind one of those types. I haven't yet read the rest of the trilogy but hope it is written a little better.
