Summary: Best book read this year
Review: I really liked this book and will look for more books from these authors. It will leave you on the edge of your seat and is a very interesting concept. The plot has great twists and turns and the opening is excellent and pulls you right in.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Well Worth the Read
Review: A great twist on a centuries old mystery that has yet to be solved. The book has the right mix of suspense and thought provoking historical reference. Check it out!

Summary: Rip Roaring Good
Review: Very good book. This story was a story of brothers mixed with mystery, horror and action. Recommended. Better than Mount Dragon.

Summary: PURE GOLD
Review: I first bought the audiobook version of this book and wore out the tape deck in my car listening to it over and over. I have since bought the book and it (being unabridged) is even better. When I first listened to the book I had not yet heard of the Oak Island Money Pit, but I have since picked up everything I can find on it. The only thing about the book that disappointed me is that the authors do not acknowledge the connection of their story to the Oak Island Money Pit; I found out about it after reading the book and made the connection. I have read both Relic and Reliquary and have the video version of Relic, so you know I'm eagerly anticipating the next collaboration of these two talented men.

Summary: Great, fast-reading novel
Review: I bought the book because it involved pirates and the plot seemed nice... but it didn't just involve pirates and the plot was definately more than "just" interesting... it ruled!

If you're looking for trascendental and serious reading, well, perhaps this is not the book for you. Instead it is a novel, a bestseller, lots of fun (and I mean real lots) and very ingenous and good reading, in fact it's so good that it makes me want to make a movie about it as fast as I can... sadly (for me at least) the movie rights have already been purchased, anyway seeing another persons vision of the story will be cool.

I laughed a lot too (something common with these authors) and read the book in two days, couldn't stop reading... so if you're looking for a fun book this is it, definateli IT.

Summary: 'Riptide' Rips!
Review: Since reading Mount Dragon in 1997, and later Relic and Reliquary, I have become hooked on these two authors. They are one of the few from whom I can't wait to buy the paperbook, and so buy the hardcover. This particular yarn involves the search for pirate treasure on a mysterious island that has defeated technology for centuries (no doubt based on the true story of such an island off the coast of New England). A page turner!

Summary: Good adventure story
Review: I was a big fan of the Relic and Reliquary so when I saw this I had to pick it up. It is a great adventure story about a booby trapped island full of treasure and mystery. The story's focus is a young doctor named Malin Hatch who owns the island and as a child had a very traumatic experience there. A rich entrapanuer persuades him the excavate the island and the ride begins. A great ride sure to provide some great entertainment.

Summary: A fun read
Review: Even though I was disappointed that there wasn't a giant beast, I still thought the book was great and enjoyable, but like most of their books, some of the chapters could have been left out. If you are looking for a great read I recommend "The Relic" which was really really good so don't watch the movie because the movie is terrible. Enjoy

Summary: What a yarn!
Review: This is one FUN adventure story. Although buried treasure has been the subject of many tales, the use of cutting-edge mechanical and computer technology to defeat the cunning traps defending a fabulous pirate treasure for hundreds of years is quite novel. The mystery--is a supernatural force behind the problems plaguing this operation?--does a great job in keeping one's attention riveted. And the authors' pacing is just right.

This is going to be one killer movie, even if they just stick 100% to the novel. In fact, I strongly suspect that they might have written it for the screen to begin with.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A very fun and suspenseful read!
Review: I truly enjoyed this book. You can't beat the plot: an adventure about looking for lost pirate's treasure, and Child and Preston are great at developing this kind of story. They put a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter, making it hard for the reader to know when to quit. I recommend this if you're looking for a purely entertaining adventure/suspense read.
