Summary: was one of the most exciting books I ever read.
Review: I am 9 years old. This is a really good book. I have read the rest of the chronicles of the Enchanted Forest. I want to get the other book called the Book of Enchantments. I don't like the last chapter of Calling on Dragons very much. But otherwise it is very exciting. I read the book very fast.

Summary: Fantastic, and more involved!
Review: I first read the enchanted forest chronicles when I was about 10 (i'm now 16), and they were and are still some of my favorite books. I have now read them many times, and love to just cuddle up with one on a bad day and enjoy the familiar characters. I'm not sure which of the four books is my favorite. I love the second one for the conflict between Cimorene and Mendanbar and then the Romance. Yet this third is also great, yet not quite so jolly. I love that other people such as Morwen and the cats have a greater role. I suppose the one thing that keeps this book from being the best of the series is the ending. Everything is not settled, though it is in the next book. So it's not quite as good of a satisfying frivolous and cheery read as the others. Absolutely read it anyways though, because it is so enjoyable. PS read them in order, don't start w/ this one.

Review: I have read the series five times, and calling on dragons six. This book is soooo good. I think that anyone who likes fantasy should read this book. (But the other boks should bo read first) Mrs wrede is definately a very talented writer! READ IT!

Summary: I love this Book!
Review: I like this book too. It's told from the P.O.V. of Morwen the kindly Witch. Since she is the only one who can understand her cats, one gets to know what's on their minds. And of course, no one can resist feeling sorry for the lovable antics of the hapless Killer, a six foot-tall rabbit-turned donkey, floating 6 inches above the ground, with wings.

Summary: I loved it!
Review: I love fantasies, and I love books about mythical creatures. Reading the Enchanted Forest Chronicles were the first of my books on Dragons. I was intrigued by the humour of the story, and by the adventure. I had brought all 4 books home at once, and addicted in a moment. I had to finish them all in a day; curious of what was to happen. This one ,especially, was the most mysterious of the Chronicles, since you were left to wonder (if you hadn't gotten all 4 books together) what happens to Mendanbar, the hero of this story. I read this book (these books) last year, maybe 6 months ago, but the story is still in my head, and I would really look forward to more of Wrede's books, especially if they are as well-written, and amazing as these Chronicles, or this book alone.

Summary: A great series but not a great book
Review: I love these books (and I first read them when I was 35 years old). Of the four, though, this is certainly the weakest. The plot is rather formulaic, and only exists to set up the situation in the fourth book. Of course, as the middle book in a trilogy (the first book really is more of a stand-alone), one can expect a certain slump. It's worth reading in order to set up book number four, and it's worth owning if you plan to buy the set. But it really wouldn't be memorable on its own.

Review: I loved all these books. They started me on my wild love for fantisy. I almost died when I found the last book, I could have died again when I read the last page. Ad\nd I never read the last word becouse I never wanted to finish those books. So I geuss that I never realy did read the book---tataly!!
